Will the Pope say the Classical Rite on September 14th?
This has been the thing I'm wondering...will His Holiness say a Solemn Pontifical Mass in the Classical Rite on the Feast of the Exultation of the Cross? It would be an absolutely beautiful occasion...St. Peter's would be packed...

My answer is not in your poll answers. I believe that you will see the TLM soon. It might be the 14th of September but I doubt it.

I certainly hope that on that day, I can turn on EWTN and see His Holiness with his back to the people facing God and leading the people to the Risen Christ in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass according to the ancient rite.

If the Mass takes place in St. Peter's, the Pope will face the same direction as he does for all Masses there. The Basilica is oriented west (for some reason I cannot recall), and traditions (before Vatican II anyway) have always been much more strictly enforced in Rome then in other places, and the Ad Orientem Altar in the Basilica was no exception. Althought the point is moot since the High Altar is surrounded by people on all sides anyway.

It can be an open air Mass in St Peter's Square itself... or at the Lateran Basilica which is where Papal cathedra is.

I pray that the next pope will be a man of tradition who fills the Sacred College and episcopate with other such men. --JJ

I would love it if the Pope offered the TLM for Midnight Mass this Christmas, as millions are tuning into the televised Mass.

But I think for the latter it will be the same as St. Peter's.....except that arrangement of the cross on one side with half of the candles will be no more.

I think you may find that he has already been using the TLM. Here is the article I read on the matter:

But like Kathleen, though I agree you will see one soon, I don't believe he will offer a public TLM on the 14th.

Joking aside, I would be very surprised if he let a camera crew in the private Papal Chapel. That is his sanctuary for private worship.

I guess after the MP, this will be the next best thing: To see the Holy Father celebrate a public TLM/Extraordinary Form broadcast live through major news networks like CNN, BBC, EWTN, etc. Anybody want to start the "guess the date" all over again? This time for the public TLM?
