For what it matters, Fr. Neuhaus has taken some shots across his bow, too.

Buchanan is a good man. I was surprised at his thoughts. He almost seems to support the Pope

I pray for his conversion

We're there some you didn't love?

I mean...Catholic means universal....I find it odd that we keep needing to add adjectives to it..."I'm a John Paul II Catholic...I'm an orthodox Catholic...etc etc"

1 Cor 1:
11 For it hath been signified unto me, my brethren, of you, by them that are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I am of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul then crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I give God thanks, that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Caius; 15 Lest any should say that you were baptized in my name.

I think you are confusing him with someone else. He is a life long Catholic.

Exactly. Alexander VI jumps immediately to mind as a pope whose pontificate one might not be incredibly enthusiastic about.

Caveat: I don't know many details of his life, just that he's infamous, but I've been told he was more of a worse apple among many bad ones (Renaissance popes) and actually accomplished certain good things. But the lack of a certain sort of love is still warranted.

Well, let's see, Alexander VI for one. Bonifas VIII was a murderer.

The Church cannot allow Mr. Foxman (ADL) to dictate its form of worship to God.

Mr. Foxman seems to take the Mass as a personal altercation to himself. The Mass is NOT about him or the ADL. It is a spiritual confection offered to God in love and charity.

The ADL attempts to oversee our canonizations and now the Mass. Isn't that interloping?
