I've got to go up to the fair grounds and do our chores. I'll check in later tonight.

Hi all,
I'm stretched out on my futon with a cat on my lap and my laptop on my stomach. It makes it hard to type.
I am keeping my eye lids open, at least for now

Hey, quick question. How long is a weekday Mass usually? What does it do differently than a Sunday Mass?

I'll answer so padre can keep sleeping. Weekday Mass might be between 20 minutes and half an hour or so. Mostly there's no singing, the Gloria and the Creed aren't recited unless it's some special feastday, there may or may not be a homily (it's not required) and usually there'll be no collection either.

Depending on how many people go, it should last about 40-45 minutes, maybe less. There usually isn't any songs, and mass basically ends after communion is over (less words are said at end and no sending song usually). There is also only one reading (not 2) and then the Gospel. The sermon is also usually shorter and there is no collection plate (or offertory (sp)) and so you skip that step also.
