Default Things you least like or freak you out

I cannot stand large winged insects. The variety that buzz you just as you sit down to eat.

They touch my food not matter how short a span of time, I have to throw it away.

Large winged insects really do my head in and freek me out

The scraping of fingernails on a chalkboard, or a metal edge on another piece of metal. Ay.....just thinking about it sets my teeth on edge.

Sixtus, would that include butterflies? (I hope not). What I least like is when someone tells me what I'm thinking about "Subject X" when I may be thinking something entirely different about it (e.g.: telling me that I think someone "honestly disagrees" with the Pope when I think that they might actually want to usurp his authority).

Palmetto bugs. I live in Florida and we get our house sprayed every other month to avoid bugs. They are huge and really give me the creeps.

Sick children (DS has an infection in both ears )

Cabinet doors and drawers left open

DH using my toothbrush (even if it is accidental)

Typical bugs and spiders (I would exclude butterflies, ladybugs and dragonflies from that list)

gotta agree...bugs like wasps and maggots...and those fruit flies that always turn up in my house at this time of the year....go away.

But two things that really irritate me and I cannot accept are liars and sarcastic children

OK, you asked....

Things that freak me out:

Walking sticks; the bugs that are long and look like a stick, ferrets (because their paws look like rat paws), daddy long legs, possums, armadillos, aardvarks, potatoes when they start growing those long things (when you've had them too long, it looks like something from "Alien"), moths, water bugs, bread that's moldy, pickled eggs, pickled pigs feet, cow tongue that you see packaged in the grocery store, cemeteries, hearing someone say, "I have MRSA", the thick dust that forms on the blades of a ceiling fan (it looks like caterpillars), my cat's litter box, my cat's hair balls, meat in general freaks me out (I got food poisoning a few months ago from a hamburger I had, now I'm leery of all of it), lobsters and crabs when they're alive, hearing someone throw up, hearing someone shovel gravel, hearing a fork scraping on a plate, someone picking at their scabs. This is the short list.

Things I least like:

Warm lettuce (whatever happened to the McDLT?!), shrimp, pimento cheese, French fries from Burger King, Cheeto's, Life cereal, people who don't use their turn signals, people who get in the fast lane and go slower than the speed limit, people who "pop" their gum in my presence, people who chew with their mouth open, people who interrupt constantly, tater tots from Sonic, anything from Arby's, Pizza Hut, green bean casserole, ham, chicken, (obviously I have food issues) the list could go on and on....

People chewing tobacco!
People who smack their kids in public!

O.K. Things that freak me out: hospitals (I've been in too many),
people who are slow, waiting in lines, any insect, dog/cat puke,
dirty sinks and toilets. I know there's more...

Freak me out:
Women who do not wash their hands after using the public toilet, thinking the other woman in the other stall doesn't notice. Milk that smells just ok but tastes like cheese. Men who do not know how to properly groom themselves. Anything even remotely sticky on a table at a restaurant. A cat box that needs scooping. Any discernible smell in the house.

Stuff I don't like:
People who are rude. People who don't realize when they are over staying their welcome, or know when to just shut up. Being told to do something I don't want to "oh, just eat it, the fat content doesn't matter". Excessively screaming children on a plane or at Mass and the parents who don't do anything. A house that needs to be vacuumed or tidied up. Okra - it makes its own slime. Any food with suckers. Conflict with people.

At the risk of sounding totally dysfunctional, I'll leave it at that.

~Liza

Not butterflies no, but I am not particularly fond of them. Like to look at them...from a distance. Can't handle moths. My mother used to carefully pick them up and put them outside. I could not do that, they disappear up my vaccuum cleaner pipe powered by a 2 Kw catayltic attraction!

Same too when critics can't even get their facts right, like a guy who once told me he distrusts the Catholic Church because he is not sure of the covert role of the 'Knights of Columbo' instead of the Knights of St Columbus

Wow, that's a new one on me. Another thing that "freaks me out" is when people start thinking I "said" something that I definitely did NOT say. Talk about putting words in my mouth!

I hear you on the sick child thing.....

Other things I don't like:

People who call THEMSELVES cafeteria catholics. That's like someone who calls himself a cafeteria husband.
