Default Well-Known Line Game #2

New game....same expanation...

We will start out with a well-known line (can be from a quote, movie line or part of a song or even a familiar expression) and the next person takes one word from that line and makes a new one. Please, no lines in foreign languages and try not to cheat using words like 'is' and 'the'.

Example: 'There's no place like home' - Wizard of Oz

Next line: 'She walks in beauty LIKE the night' - Lord Byron

Here's the first line:

"Oh say can you see by the dawn's early light..." -The Star- Spangled Banner

These eyes have seen a lot of love, but they're never gonna see another one like I had with you.

Make new friends,

Darling, I am growing old,
Silver threads among the gold
Shine upon my brow today
Life is fading fast away. ..

Song ~ Siver Threads Among The Gold
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children, she didn't know what to do.
She gave them some broth without any bread,
Then spanked them all soundly and put them to bed.

When we eat this bread and drink this cup,
we proclaim your death, Lord Jesus,
until you come in glory.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.

When Irish eyes are smiling, sure it's like a morn in Spring! In the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, all the world seems bright and gay, and when Irish eyes are smiling, sure they'll steal your heart away!

His eye is on the sparrow

The Laughing Willow

By Ernestine Cobern Beyer

Beside a pool within a wood
A family of willows stood.
They could not rest, they could
not sleep;
All they did was weep and weep.
Indeed, they wept, this willow
clan,
As they have wept since time
began.

Imagine, then, the pain and
grief
That shook the willows, root
and leaf,
When suddenly beside the
pool
The youngest willow broke
the rule!
A woodsy laughter, small
and thinned,
Fell lightly on the summer
wind.

"Weep!" cried all the willow
crowd.
"To laugh is simply not allowed!"
But though they showed him
what to do,
And gave him Sobbing Lessons,
too,
The youngest willow, small and
daft,
Just tossed his arms and laughed
and laughed!

(Don't know which line is well-known, so I posted 'em all )
