I will, I will, but I was thinking about writing it out first...getting it all together. Not that it's *supernatural* (hahaha) but, just lengthy and looking back I can not believe some of the things that actually has lead me to the Church.

I also would like to invite anyone who is even considering to convert.....maybe is just going through RCIA this year, hasn't really made a *final* decision...

Greetings to all our beloved 'newbies'. I'm sort of a newbie myself having joined the Tiber Scuba team in 2006. But I'm also doing catechisis for our current class. Our Rite of Acceptance is this Sunday!

Hello, just came from the "converting" thread to say hello! I am in RCIA, and I really like it so far. We are still in the inquiry phase so not too much learning going on yet. I'll surely share my story, but I'm afraid that there is not much to tell and it kinda has a sad element to it, but here it is...

I was minding my own business, going to work and school each day, oblivious to anything Catholic..when I apparently caught the eye of a nice young Catholic boy, who was passionate about his faith, and all around wonderful person. We were friends and saw each other in class, until one day....we went out...as friends, but from then on we went out more and more. Sounds lovely right? WRONG!! Somewhere along the way, things went horribly wrong, and it ended in disaster (this part is dramatically abreviated). I am not over it yet, but, the life goes on. So during our little romance, I found that his passion for his faith was absolutely breathtaking, it was what I liked the most about him. I then became interested in finding things out about the Catholic faith for myself. I found that it just made sense and really did fit. In my reading and self-education, I have come to believe and love so many things about the Catholic Church, so much in fact....I'm now in RCIA. I come from a very Southern Baptist family, so things in that area are quite uncomfortable as no one in my family can relate or really be happy for me right now....... So I lost my Catholic guy, the initiator of this whole ball rollin' (he has no idea im in RCIA), me and my family are having Catholic v. Baptist issues, and I don't have any friends who are Catholic.

That's about it...I know it's kind of depressing, and it really has been tough at times, but, there is a light at the end of the tunnel (May 22 ) !!!
