Talking Re: TEEN Thread: Autumn 2007

Hey TEENS!!! Long time, no see! I've had such a busy summer. Prepare yourself for a terribly long (and maybe even dull ) essay about my doings.

I turned 17 in June. I never got a summer vacation. I have been working on my Junior year until now. I start my senior year on Monday. My classes are:

American Government
English 12
Latin II
Religion 12 (Apologetics)
Vocabulary (1/2 credit course)
Accounting (1/2 credit course)

I have been quite active on a message board for Seton students. In fact, I'm now a Global Mod there, so it keeps me pretty busy. We have some pretty lively debates though.

I'm trying to get back on CAF every now and then just to keep my knowledge of the faith intact. However, I don't have time to post in the debates. I still update my blog on a regular basis, and I'd love it if you would all go there.

The most exciting part of my summer came in early August. It was at this time that I decided to do the Montfortian Consecration "The spiritual slavery to Jesus, through Mary." If you want to read more about it, check out my blog.

I am very excited about the recent happenings in the Church. Summorum Pontificum was extremely exciting. I am now trying to attend the Latin Mass every week, and I hope to start as an altar server soon. I am still convinced that I am called to the priesthood. I am starting to lean towards the FSSP, though the ICRSS is still a possibility.

I am getting pretty excited about World Youth Day next year. Fund-raising has kept me pretty busy.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I hope all of you are well!

Ad Jesum, Per Mariam,

Trev

Hello you lot!!!

Glad to see you're carrying on the tradition Trevor

I've not been around for a while, and I've just come on to say I'm resigning from my account, so I won't be around any more. I'm fed up of the ranting and ignorance of some posters on these forums, but you lot have made me smile so many times. And I'll still pop on and visit this thread.

A big "thank you" to everyone, you're a wonderful group of young people.

Love you all, and God bless each and every one of you.

Michael x

That's why we're homeschooled, m'dear.

I'm homeschooled, too, Trevor! It's nice to meet you, and I'll totally check out your blog sometime! I'm having a good time--having an open house/party tomorrow, so that's gonna be the shizz.

Off to bed and read Dostoyevsky!

I miss summer.

Mary

Hah, I sympathize with those of you who have to read Dostoyevsky. I had to read "The Brothers Karamazov" in my junior year of high school and then "Crime and Punishment" in my senior year. Wow, high school seems soooo far away now lol.

Ok ok so I'm not a teen anymore, I'm graduating from college this year. But you're all a great group of young people so I couldn't help but post.

Aw...that stinks, Michael! I needed a break from everything, too...that's one of the reasons I left. I wish you didn't have to go.

Same here.

BTW, Squire Peter, I didn't realize until yesterday that you were the "Rubrics and Ritualist" that posted in my blog! I read some of the stuff in your blog, though a lot of it was a bit over my head.

Welcome back, Trev!
I'm done with math, my dear! Done, done, done!!!

No, I didn't want to take math because it won't help my vocation that much, and because it's so time-consuming. I want to graduate on time, don'cha know!

So, how is my good Lady Kuryakyn?

Hee hee, sometimes it goes over mine also.

I don't think I'll have enoguh time for blogging though, now. I'm doing another set of A Levels plus SAT's. My parents were pretty pleased with my last results. I was actually surprised myself- they have an absolutely wonky marking system in the UK. But if it gets me the marks, who am I to complain?

Actually I probably shouldn't be on this PC now.
