Default EXERCISE SUPPORT GROUP -week of 9/23

Welcome to the first full week of Autumn, everyone. It's cloudy and cool here in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. It was 55 outside when I went out for my 7 mile run this morning. Anyway, time to set goals for the week. My goal is the same as last week: run 22 miles, including a 7 mile long run, which, as mentioned, was completed this morning. My time was 1:04:02, which was my best time for a 7 mile run. So I'm happy with that.

OK, who's next?

My turn

I did not get to run today, which was my plan, as a friend wanted to come along and she was not in shape to run more than a mile or so at a time. So instead I dragged her on a 19 mile hike up and down a mountain ridge. I think we did at least 5 miles walking along the side of the mountain without the aid of any trails and then another mile or so along the bottom of a dried up creek, all in my quest to get to the top of a snow covered mountain about 15 miles from the hotel. We never did make that, but we saw a few waterfalls, got covered in mud (only me, I think that is because I took lead and found all the nice muddy holes to fall into), took tons of pictures and had a good time. Although I think she will kill me if I take her on another hike like that

Now I just hope the snow holds off until after Wednesday so I can actually get a good run in.

I am changing up my walking routine a wee bit. My left hip has been bothering me. So, I am going to walk for 20 minutes,,,,go to morning Mass ( joined the "Old People Who Attend Daily Early Morning Mass Club") and then go for 15 or 20 minutes more after Mass. I am NOT losing any weight, in fact have gained a few!! , so I figure why kill myself walking so much at a straight stretch. I am going for 40 in 5 instead of my usual 50 in 5. I have a doctor appointment next week and don't want to go because I KNOW I gained weight....and the sad thing is, it'll be the first time in 5 years that I did

I think I had my goal set a little high last week... I didn't even come close...too much work.

This week I'll set my goals at eating at least 2000 calories per-day.

I also want to reach a goal of 6 miles for the week.

I met my 2000 calories today and I walked 1 mile.

Bad weekend here also. Went out for Mexican and ate an entire chorizo super burrito myself, yum.

Anyways, for the most part I am still running 3 miles Mon-Fri mornings. I ve had a few days where I bumped it up, but nothing on a regular basis. I am also down to 30 min of tkd 7 days a week.

Hey everyone!

I ate / drank at least 2000 calories today.

I walked 1 mile. This brings my total to 2 miles for the week.

Have a blessed day!

I had a TERRIBLE first day trying to get back on track. I didn't do anything - ate a bunch of junk & didn't get any exercise in.

DANG IT!!!! I gotta be really focused today.

OK, I ran 3 miles yesterday, as well as today, so I'm up to 13 miles for the week.

How is everyone else doing?

This sounds like the big bad food weekend thread - so I must join in.
While I did get my exercise in, my eating has been wretched. I actually had a bit of a nervous binge yesterday. Yes I did 5 miles, but somewhere along the road the cal intake has got to decline too.
