I used one the other day and they laughed at me at work. One of the girls poured vinegar thru the coffee pot to clean it, but there must have been some reside of it left because the creamer CLABBORED in the coffee.....you know...globbed up, coagulated, got lumpy, couldn't be made smooth again....

Another one is TOLERABLE....not good, not bad, just tolerable.

My daddy used to say aint aint a word...but it's in the Webster dictionary!

Oh, don't get me started Pyropam! Hope this takes your mind off of your troubles for awhile and makes you laugh!

Are you sure that the girls did not put Clabber Girl baking powder in the creamer?

The best Southern word is "fixin". Fixin has several different levels.

FIXIN = about to (in a minute, hour, day, week, month, year, etc.)

Example:

Wife: Honey did you wash those dishes?
Hubby: I'm fixin to.
Wife: You said that yesterday and the dishes are still there.

"D'whut?" (Do what?)

This is usually my reply to every question I don't understand, or every statement I haven't heard clearly. Haven't heard anyone utter it outside of the South.

And every time I "stump" (instead of stub) my toe on a root, I yell "dag nabbit!"

Is Dag Nabbit a relative of Dag Hammarskjold?

In eastern Oregon, many people refer to their car's glove box as a "jockey box." Also, a creek is pronounced by many as "crick" instead of "creak," and God help any visitor who calls the state anything other than "Orygun."

Heh, yinz and red-up are two of the biggest Pittsburgh-isms I've heard. And I actually am somewhat embarrassed to admit this, but I don't really know what red-up means.

Hey Ya'll is the correct southern form.

And if you were from the south, RED-UP means well read. I'm well read on the Bible scripture.... I'm RED-UP on my bible.
