Default need help with ipod

I got a 30G ipod. It's been working fine since the beginning of the year. I only use it in the car via Monster when I'm driving. Now all of a sudden, a screen came up with a charger pic, like when it's being charged. Not only this but it's constantly beeping. I can't turn it off, like completely power off, no matter what I do. It's frozen w/ the beeping noise. Any idea all you ipod genius out there

did you try holding both the menu and center button at the same time? That is the force reboot. And toggling the hold switch is supposed to help sometimes.

Hmmm, might have to contact ol' Apple and have them replace it...

Well guess what?

I just left the darn thing to continue doing what it did, beeping constantly. Don't know how long it lasted, but it was hours. Early next morning, found out it stopped, and a new day begins...
