Default EXERCISE SUPPORT GROUP -week of 10/21

Hi, everyone. I've been scarce lately, and expect to be scarce for at least another week, but I'm trying to keep up my workouts. I'm going to set a goal of running 23 miles this week, including an 8 mile long run. I couldn't go out this morning, as we're having winds in the 80-100 MPH range. So, keep us in your prayers.

Anyone else ready to set goals?

My goal is to wake up and go to work . Then come home and go to bed. In between, I will try and get 40 in 5.

I like your goals. They sound very achievable.

Hi workout peeps... Ok...I'm going to commit to a goal this week--no matter what! I'm going to do the elipitcal 3 days this week, and walking 2 days...going to try to do 2 miles of walking, to get back into it again...and 5 miles of eliptical...we shall see. Keep those prayers comin. Good luck to everyone here--a new week is before us, thank the Lord.

Hi everyone!

I'm going to go for 12 miles again this week. I feel sure I can keep it up. I have started today and I got in 2 miles.

Can I ask what an "eliptical" is?

God Bless,
Pam

Hi, Pam;

An eliptical is a cross between a treadmill and a stair stepper. It simulates running, but eliminates the impact of running. Here's a picture of an eliptical:

I got up and ran 3 miles this morning. That's my first run of the week.

Hi there everyone.
Goals all sound good so let's get some commitment going and flowing to others! ( Like me)

I am doing OK and cranking out about 20 miles per week - not the 25 I had hoped for the past few weeks. Still, I'd say I'm no slouch.

Another long, BUSY weekend - another failed attempt at being healthy. This is the weekend though. I can feel it. All health for me this weekend.

No kidding. I'm that kind of gal. If he had some cookies or cake, I'd have him enclose that in the package too with the burrito.

Would pizza work? That's what killed me this weekend. That & doing a bake sale with the high school youth group. We ate so much junk Saturday night & Sunday morning.
