Default EXERCISE SUPPORT GROUP -week of 11/4

Good morning, everyone, and Happy New Week. Did you remember to set your clocks back an hour?

Time to set new goals for the week. The air has cleared around me, so I can go back to my full running schedule again. So, my goal for this week is to run 24 miles, including a 9 mile long run.

Good to hear it's clearing a bit Micheal. I'm going to call my sister and brother today to see how it looks for them.

I'm going to try and just walk a few times this week.

Good for you. If you need a walking companion . . . talk to yourself.

You are so funny!

I'm not walking today... I have a cold. Just gonna hang out here and suffer alone...lol

My goal for this week is climbing!!! I'm going for 15 miles. I sure hope I can reach it. I feel certain that I can if I can just shake this cold.

God Bless,
Pam

Nice! 24 miles with a 9 mile long run? That is quite a goal.
You have really made strides. You're family must be very proud. Have you noticed any physical benefits in your weight or body shape?

I did 27.5 miles this week finally. My goal is always 25 miles but the past several weeks I have not made it.

Also, do you keep a log like I do? I track my daily miles ( and calories burned according to the machines I use). It is mind boggling to see my progress over this past year.

How about you, imamom...do you track your cals and miles burned on the elliptical?

It's nice to keep track because I use it a s a motivating tool. You can look back after a year or so and realize that you actually burned calories that you would have otherwise sat on.

I'm fine if I have music. I think I'm going to go buy me a MP3 player and perhaps download the rosary, how does that sound? And a bunch of music.

I'm going today to join WW as well I've gained too much.

Those IPOD shuffles are great also. That's what the fiancé bought me for my birthday. His subtle way of saying I need to exercise I think.

But I love it. Plus if the ear buds are too big that come with the equipment, Target sells smaller ones that I love.

IPOD's are a bit more though, right? Thanks for cluing me in on the ear buds at Target though. My middle daughter has sensory integration issues and cannot wear the ones that came with her IPOD.

When is the big day? I know you told me once but I forgot.

The IPOD Shuffle, not to be confused with the IPOD, or IPOD nano etc, only plays music you download. It cannot receive music like POD casts etc.

They run $75 and are them smallest things one can imagine. About an inch square, but about 1/4 inch thick. They clip onto your sleeve or shirt. Wonderful piece of technology.

Then you go to ITUNES, log on and download songs. They will cost you 99cents unless you already own the CD you want to download - then you can do it free.

I have small ears I guess and could not work with the earbuds that came with the IPOD shuffle. They hurt so bad I hated the thing. Plus they fell out with every step I took.

Target has several to choose from - that fit very small ears too. I bought a pair ( I think they were Phillips brand) that came with 3 sizes of ear buds to swap out.

Any way - back to me.... Wedding date is April 5th. He is already working on transforming my basement into his man-cave. Garage is next he says.
Though I caught him eying up MY closet yesterday. I say hands off...not sure I love him enough to hand over part of MY closet.

I love it, "man-cave" lol! My poor husband lives with all girls. There is four of us. We don't have basements out this way, too bad for my husband. But he is trying slowly to make the garage his own.

I hope you feel comfortable posting pics of the great day when it comes. I'll keep you both in my prayers!

That poor poor man. No basement. Men in this part of the world purchase houses based on the basement alone.

My basement has never looked better - all neat and tidy and organized. Plus when he is down there working in his cave, he folds laundry on the side. See, we have considered building an addition on to the house for first floor laundry. But then why would I risk that! If I move the laundry to the first floor I'll forever get stuck folding. My mama didn't raise a fool!

I'll post pics after the honeymoon.
