huh??

You don't have anything that can move to e5, let alone a pawn, let alone for checkmate!

The first thing you'll need to do is define who's playing. Otherwise this will be like a chessboard set up in a park where any random passersby can grab and move any pieces whenever they want.

That's exactly how it is setup now.

This was test one. It could possibly work via PM, but our inboxes and outboxes could get filled up quickly.

Also, it is tedious to create the layout each time, but unless each person has a chessboard next to their computer, it is necessary to know where all the pieces are.

Hello,

I wonder how hard it would be to setup up a website dedicated to this - an online Catholic Chess Community.

And the bad part is even if you state who the two players are, there is nothing preventing a third party from posting moves and such with disregard to the current game.

And there is no way to have more than one game at a time, unless you want 100+ threads going at the same time (the moderators will love that )

It would probably be simpler to arrange to meet at an online game site, such as http://games.yahoo.com/board-games, and play there, rather than reinvent the wheel here. But maybe less fun without dozens of kibbitzers.

Y'know, I bet if you mosey over to Staff Chat and ask the Forum Admin real nice like they might find a way to make this work on here. I heard there are some forums that actually can do this. I'm not very good at chess, but it might be fun.
