Really is a great site. Hard to imagine anyone who preaches, teaches religion classes, or is taking a religion course would not profit from this great resource. I have used it a number of times just to get clarification on a passage from the Bible or just to see what the best authorities say.

hello all,

I'm having trouble downloading the Biblia Clerus - every time I get to about 70 mb transfered out of 71, my download window will read as "not responding". Has anyone else had trouble with this? I'd love to be able to use this great resource!

My antivirus blocked the full English download. I tried program alone and it worked, then started adding titles. I have not found the problem title yet, but have downloaded over 1/2 of them with no issue this way.

Has anyone been able to download this recently? I have been trying for 2 days and I keep getting
This webpage is not available
The webpage at http://www.clerus.org/bibliaclerus/loader/update.exe might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

I downloaded it Tuesday. I use Mozilla as my browser, so more likely than not used it as my downloader. It crashed multiple times before I noticed the Trojan mentioned in another post and that my anti-virus was doing some blocking in the background.

I then loaded just the app w/o any library and it worked fine. I then added library components a couple at a time w/o any issue. I have not downloaded the full library, but have about 1/2 of the English one w/o any issues.

I'm getting those same Trojan horse blocks from McAfee, so I can't update my software.

Seeing so many people are having the same problem, I can't believe the Vatican's office for the Clergy can't find competent people who can ensure Vatican Bible software can be downloaded without any problems.

They really should get their act together. This is very disappointed on the faithful who are looking for strong Biblical soources.

Hi djd83,

Thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully, someone who reads these postings and can touch base with this Vatican office, can look into this.

I noticed in your signature you said:
Although I am not yet a baptized Catholic, please understand I have a very strong desire to be.

I highly suspect that the app is fine and just a minority of the library is infected (I downloaded all I was interested in w/o an issue - the only time my antivirus went off is when I tried a blanket download.

We don't warship anyone.. but we do worship God alone. If you'd like to know more about Catholicism I encourage you to ask questions instead of taking what clearly has been false information and holding it for truth.

Personallly, I wouldn't down load all that content. Surely a link in your favorites to that web site would be better than using up gobs and gobs of storage? What do you think? I do think this is a great resource.
