Prayers for our first home buying venture.
I am very nervous. This is a first for my husband and I. We have put it off mainly for clearing up debt reasons.
We meet with a mortgage lender Thursday for see about qualifying for a home loan.
I am most nervous about finding a place that I am confident about raising our five children in. I don't want to purchase a place here in the city but hubby does. This place is way too crime filled and such. I would much prefer a place outside of town. I hope we find the perfect place.

Things went well today.
Just one thing to clear up on our credit to approved for an FHA loan! Woo.
I am feeling so overwhelmed by the task of finding good schools near an affordable home. Even after the months of looking... It's looking less and less likely that it will happen.
Feeling kinda down today even after the positive news about the loan.

Praying very hard for you to find the perfect home, neighborhood and schools. My wife and I had the same reaction when we bought our first home 43 years ago for $18,500 (cars cost more now, LOL. We've since bought two more and didn't bat an eye. Hang in there!

We signed everything for the preapproval today. We got a small loan.
Now it's a waiting game to see if we find a home in that price range in the area we have chosen.
