Okay, I'll play. But let's play nice.

Though your worst invention may be good for those whose kiddos want to learn to walk but Mom has back problems!

Here's my idea of the worst baby invention. This EXTRA HAND FEEDER and the PODEE FEEDER - for hands-free baby feeding:

Granted, it may be easier to use when you've got multiples, but feeding is a big bonding time for moms and babies and this just seems SO sad to me.

I only hope parents who use these things don't become addicted to the ease of it and use them at every feeding.

Of course if you were in charge of an orphanage nursrey or a (gasp) day care center it would come in handy.

Would also be wonderful for moms with orthopedic/medical issues who cannot hold baby safely.

True, true. But still sad. (If my daycare/sitter was using these I'd fire them on the spot!) If every feeding was like this baby would be missing out on a lot.

We bought those in Princess Pink.... we thought they were a good idea at the time. We have all hard floors and she's our first. We thought they'd be especially good for learning to walk (and falling).... but she knew better...never did want to wear them, lol.

Diaper Genie. No one else who visited could figure out the thing. We'd end up with a pile of stinky diapers and cut up bags, augh!!

I love the diaper genie! It holds the smell in quite nicely! I can't think of a bad baby invention. I know they're out there though.

Probably not the worst invention, but I saw these little things called "pee-pee tipis" that were small, round flannels to cover the baby boy's penis during changing so if he pees it doesn't make a little fountain all over the place. Pretty funny, and we all got a great laugh, but not practical IMHO. I know I would never be able to find the little things when I needed them, or would forget to put it on until it was too late. Whatever. They were a gift from a woman who doesn't have kids and never wants them. I think kids gross her out a little bit.

Changing tables. Really, are they neccessary? It was always easier for me to change the baby on the floor or a bed (softer and comfier for the baby, too). It's just extra furniture to sell to new parents. And I hate changing a baby from the side--it's always easier if their feet face me, I can get the diaper on better.

Snappi fasteners for cloth diapers. OH how i hate those. They never worked and sometimes snapped open and hurt the baby.

Any single stroller that costs more than a mortgage payment. Bugaboo & Orbit come to mind first.

I certainly don't mean to offend someone on here if they have one, but I'd love to know why..

I saw this and thought it was a little unnecessary.

yeah, I think that came out around the time I had my first, or maybe I'd just never seen it before then. I never really "got" it. I mean, why does the baby have to be so scheduled?

I couldn't find links to either of the items I was thinking about, but the first is kind of a sling/carrier thing to carry the bucket carseat hands-free. Uh, why not just carry the baby?

The second is that goofy thing that hangs the kid over the bathroom stall. Maybe handy, but come on, do we really need another contraption to cram into a diaper bag.
