Human sacrifice charge
15nov04

A WOMAN in New Hampshire and her boyfriend are accused of plotting to sacrifice her three children on a church altar.

Nicole Mancini, 29, and John Thurber, 35, were arrested at St Mary's Church after workers heard her say she wanted to sacrifice the boys.

"She said, 'Let's go make the sacrifice'," said church secretary Donna Landolfi.

The pair were charged with child endangerment, and Ms Mancini's mental state will be evaluated.

The children, aged 9, 7 and 2, were not harmed and were placed in state custody. Mr Thurber is the father of the youngest.

Police said Ms Mancini told them Jesus sacrificed himself for her, so she was going to sacrifice the boys to free her soul.

Lawyer Kimberly Shoen said Ms Mancini meant no harm. "They were never tied to the altar, there was no blood, there were no constraints for sacrificial use," she said.

Linda Slamon, Mr Thurber's lawyer, said Ms Mancini had been acting irrationally and he went with her to get her help. "If anything, he was there to protect the children and protect Ms Mancini," she said. - AP

Lunacy is not denomination specific.

They all will continue to do so for so long as the Catholic Church exists...regardless of the many time they accuse the Church of their own hypocrisy.

Question Re: Those Crazy Catholics

Another charge levelled against "those crazy Catholics" is that they're "cannibals". How? Because we eat things like walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, etc., etc., etc.?
