Cool Re: TEEN Thread: Spring 2008

Hi!
Guess What! We slept in our new house for the first time last night! It was strange!
We found three three inch long scorpions in the house yesterday. My little sister was freaked out! So I had to sleep with her until she fell asleep and she woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me that she was going to the bathroom. She wanted to be sure I was awake in case she got scared on the way, or got stung It was cute.
The house is a disaster because we just were dropping everything everywhere so that we could get all moved in yesterday. It was crazy, but now we have a yard and pool!

Someone asked if we are going to Holy Thursday mass, I would, but the only mass at our parish is at 1:00 (weird time huh?) and I am just leaving work at that time We may go to another parish, but probably not. We will probably go to church tomorrow though and do the stations or maybe just do a holy hour. It is nice, at Christmas, we got an adoration chapel that is now open 24/7 So sometimes we just go for a holy hour.

I guess I better stop talking before you stop reading

Have a Holy Good Friday,
& A HAPPY BLESSED EASTER!

I GET A WHOLE WEEK OFF!
I wouldn't normally since I am working, but I have to babysit my three younger siblings since their break is the week after EASTER, and the two girls who are in high school had their break this week (public school). So I get a spring break.

OK, Lady K.

I have from now to next Monday, and today we had the last performance of the youth group Passion Play, so I'm totally free until next Sunday (when I start on my homework )

OK, Lady K.
I'm so excited, I finished my finals for this quarter of school on Tuesday, and I actually scraped by with a B in my math class!!! (I'm taking classes at the local community college, btw...)
So now I have another week and a half of no more school! Unfortunately, I still have to work... bummer. At least I enjoy my job for the most part.

Wink Re: TEEN Thread: Spring 2008

No the bishop in Vegas is a joke and his masses are a mess, it would only make my family leave very
So we try not to go to any mass that the bishop is celebrating. (is that the right word? I am feeling weird (tired mostly) today)
But when we lived in Denver we tried to go to Archbishop Chaput's masses at least once every couple months because he is such a great bishop and my parents wanted us to see some of the ceremony that is involved when a bishop is celebrating the mass. That was interesting. I cannot imagine the amount of ceremony if the bishop was presiding over a TLM. WOW!

Did you all know that the American Bishops conference was held in Vegas this year? Isn't that rediculous? I mean with all these scandals going on in the Church and the bishops choose Vegas, Sin City? I got to question their sanity. I mean why even choose Nevada? There are only two "major" cities in Nevada : Reno and Vegas and Reno isn't that big. The rest of the cities you could drive through and never know you had been through a town (at night at least). It is so horribly sad.
Anyways,
I hope you are all having a very good Good Friday. Are you hungry yet? Now?
Have a Blessed Easter!
Your Friend,

Well my hopes of going to Franciscan University just got dashed a little...I'm a junior so i would be applying next year, but from a week ago, to today, the collegeboard numbers for FUS just sky rocketed! Just one week ago only 12% had above a 3.75 GPA and I looked today and it jumped to 44%! I'm really bummed right now...

I will pray that Gods will be done for you. Is there a special saint who you are praying to about this? That really helps if you pick one saint and ask them to intercede on your behalf.

What program do you want to study? Why do you want to go to Fransican U?
Just pray and God will direct you. Maybe he wants you to go to some other college, maybe if you went there you would lose your faith. Trust in God it is much simpler. Apply and then trust in God.
I learned this the hard way. I was a wreck for a while before I found out that I got into Wyoming Catholic College, but then after my parents told me to stop biting everyone's heads off I just made myself relax and boy was it nice to just pray "Thy will be done for me." Do your best and God will do the rest. But I can totally feel for you!

Happy Easter All,

Hello, I'm Joyful. I've also been looking at FUS for fall of '09. I want to study Theology so FUS is kind of ideal for that. The only problem is - it is 900 miles away from where I live and it would cost several hundred $'s just to visit. I really feel like it is where I want to go, though.

Then go. Never let distance stand in the way of your dreams. FIT is about 800, 900 for me and I'm determined to go there.
