Re: A Curmudgeon Easter: Wabbit Stew for Dinner
Looks like people are still out at Mass (or passed out )
Had my second experience with the EF of the Mass tonight.
Still hard to follow and my Missal does not state when to stand, kneel or sit.
The priest who gave the homily almost crossed the line tonight with what he said (he has some issues [nothing illegal] that could get him into trouble with higher ups).
Other than my right knee almost giving out from the kneeling, I fared pretty well. Do not know if I will got to the Easter Vigil. If I do, I am gonna take a double dose of Aleve before hand.

Ooooohhhh.... yes, it can be a nice calisthenic work out, especially if you're not expecting when to be up or down. I've not been back in a long while. My parish does a Latin N.O., and my toddler is distraction enough from the mass I know.

Wouldn't he be better suited for the pre-Lent pancake feasts so many parishes observe?
Taz would make an excellent curmudgeon I think...

Mine does parts the Ordinary Form (i.e. NO) in Latin and it is done Ad Orientum like the EF (We have both). We also receive on the tongue while kneeling at the Altar Rail at the OF Mass.

Hmmmm......I find many recipes for pancakes, and even more recipes for bunnies....
But nary a single rule for "Pancake Rabbit".
Mind you, that pancake is looking better all the time!!

Re: A Curmudgeon Easter: Wabbit Stew for Dinner
Since it's Good Friday, I cleaned all the dead critters out of the cauldron. Today's coffee is just coffee, with no added flavors or protein. Have some.
It's 39, heading for a low of about 34 with lots of frost. Sunny today, light winds, and a high of 71.

You can have critter flavoring, just not the meat chunks.
