Post Haiku Defined

((A haiku is a Japanese poetic form. it is a three line poem. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7, and the last line has 5. It is usually about nature, but can really be about anything. It doesn't try to be deep, but attempts to paint a precise image or emotion.))

N.B. Les Schwab is a chain of tire centers in the Pacific Northwest. If you don't have them in your area, you might consider moving here.

The above is the last in the chain, so I quoted it in order not to break the chain. But perhaps my favorite haiku, which I just want to repeat is as follows. Nothing profound, but I love the imagery. Please ignore it for "chain" purposes.

Winter night snowstorm
And the black lace gowned forest
Sleeps in down blankets.
