Talking Baby Boy Names!

Okay folks it's getting slim picking to find boy names that meet certian criteria:

5 letter name from the bible for the first name
can't be anyone we know irl dead or alive
or have the same first letter of any siblings

that rules out:
any first names beginning with A, B, C, D, E, J, K, or T. Rob is iffy on M and R.

plus many other whole names already taken by family members

So let's make a list folks!
Oh and we were willing to tweak a bit for a good name with Tobias. It isn't 5 letters but his nickname is Tobey.

Shall I start?
I like Nathanial for a middle name

I also like Thomas and Francis and Timothy - all names my beloved has flat out rejected.

Yeah, right! I couldn't decide on a name for baby number 4 until AFTER he was born....a lot of help I'd be for you!

Tobias is really nice, though!

Felix
George is 6 letters, but the E is silent so it doesn't count.
Giles
Is Henry in the Bible?
Moses
Hosea
Isaac
Ishua
Linus
Micah
Roman
Silas
Simon

Are variants of Biblical names also game? Luke has 4 but Lucas has 5.

Rob says:

Felix is a cat, not a boy.

Henry... Nope. Too late for that one. This will be baby #9, not #8.

Walking away singing a little diddy..

Hmm...you make this harder then one would think:

Haman from Esther (not a good choice, IMO)
Hegai (also from Ester, but another not so good choice)
Hosea (OT prophet)
Micah (another OT prophet)

Though in all seriousness, if you are willing to consider a longer name that has a five letter nickname, then you can't go wrong with:

Samuel (nickname Sammy)

My 3rd is named Samuel Malachi...and he suggests you go with Samuel (even at 22 months he likes the name...hehe)

Hosea is not quite in our ethic bakground. Are there any egg leg redheaded, blue-eyed Hoseas?

Micah = Mike = already taken by several family members both dead and alive.

Samuel (nickname Sammy)
Rob doesn't like that one. nothing personal of course!

But the name came first, not the sandwich.
How about Reuben, I think I spelled it wrong first. So thats out as to length of letters, I do like Moses and Isiah.

Save it for the next boy. Then he'll be the 8th.

Isaac is a great name, I think. I have a friend who named one of her sons Isaac...

I also like Peter.

I really like Peter and Isaac too. Also, Heath.
Origin - English (Hebrew - 'Arar).
Prophet Jeremiah compared him that trusts in other men to heath, growing stunted and destitute, to a man who trusts in the Lord, flourishing like a tree planted by the side of water.
(Jer 48:6).

Not an exact match to your criteria are Louis, Lucius.
Origin - Greek.
Luis was the grandmother of Timothy. She was praised by Paul for her faith in God.

Good luck finding the perfect name. I think choosing names is so fun.
