We're painting on dry wall.
We just finished life-sized Communion of the Apostles and we did that on the back wall of the sanctuary. Above that is a 12-ft Virgin of the Sign that we did on walltex....

Yes I would! I've never heard of anyone doing this. Do you go to prayer and refection or have a group prayer before you begin?

Yes, we do have group prayer and individual prayer. We read the Scripture account of the ikon we are about to work on (if there is one) and also do the research into the various line drawings and the meanings of the figures in each line drawing.
We also use a lot of chant music on the CD player as we're working....
