Default How to Locate a Priest

I am trying to locate a Catholic Priest somewhere (???) in the US. All I know is his name, Fr Felix Hernandez, and that he graduated from the US Naval Academy.

Any ideas on how to find him?
Thanks.

Ask your parish (or even a local library) if you can browse their Kennedy Directory (Though I would not be surprised to find more than one priest by that name).

Thanks. I hope to narrow my search by his college. A priest and a Navy Academy grad... Anyway I'm hoping. Thanks again for your reply.

I wonder if there's any site on the WWW?

I was going to ask something like this the other day.

A while back I was going through boxes of old pictures. I came across pics from when I played CYO basketball back in the late 70's early 80's. Anyway one of our priest used to come to the games or to our practices during the week & just take pictures of us & when he'd develop the film he'd hand them out to everyone. Nice black & white 5x7's.

Photography was his hobby & he was awesome with us kids. My favorite priest by far. I'd purposely go to the Mass he was at, purposely make sure he was the one I'd find when it was time for confession, etc.

Just seeing those pictures brought back good memories for me & I began to wonder whatever happened to Fr. Schmitt (sp?).

What's the question? You have his address; why not write him a letter?

Perhaps the poster didn't realise that that WAS an address?

Hi Donna, Shalom!

Welcome to Catholic Answers Forum! I too have a lot to learn, but our Church is FULL of treasures!

I like to read up in "Ask An Apologist." Also, you can search-do an advanced search for certain words. Just make sure you click Post not Thread. Otherwise you have to read through a page full of individual posts sometimes.

God Bless you.

Love, Dawn

you could try to Google him, or check Facebook. So so so many priests have Facebook pages that you may very well find him there...plus if you get multiple results, you will have a Picture to help you narrow it down

Don't most Priests remain under a particular Bishop?

The OP could always contact the Bishop. Even if a Bishop retires, one replaces him. Same office. And, they keep records.

God Bless you.

People may not have noticed, so I wanted point out that this thread is nearly three years old.

After peeking at his profile, I discovered that the person who started it has not visited CAF since July 2009.

Laugh Out Loud that is so funny - I still want to say the most recent parish may have kept track of the priest's travels, but maybe that is the first place the poster sought help.
