Hey - that's a good question. There is some automatic process where with enough activities you move from being a 'new member' to a 'junior member' to a 'regular member' to a 'senior member'.

I have no idea how that happens!!! Anybody know???

based on my observations....
you are a new member for 30 days, regardless of your post count during that time.
after the first 30 days....
jr is 0 - 30 posts
reg is 31 - 249
sr is 250+
