Congrats samovila!!! We're on our second as well.

I am so excited to share this...I am in a secular moms group and I had asked about what everyone liked as far as maternity brands, not even mentioning that DH and I are really tight financially. Well, about five ladies from the group have offered to loan me clothes . I'm so excited and just so grateful for their generosity!!! I guess I don't have to spend any more money .

Excellent! And congrats right back at you! A close friend of mine gave me all her maternity clothes with my first baby so I lucked out that way. She also gave me about 4 years of her daughter's clothes for my little one. She is soooo generous. It saves a lot to use hand-me-downs.

Congratulations!

I got back from the appointment with the new OB. Thank God, he is entirely different from the nurse who I dealt with last week. He was confused about why there was such a huge change in EDD from LMP and ultrasound, so I explained it to him and he didn't bat an eye. He threw out the July EDD and is going only with August and not even trying to correlate with a LMP.

I thought my gestational diabetes test would be today, but apparently he doesn't do GD testing until 28 weeks, he's not sure why that nurse said I would do it today. A different nurse gave me the Glucola to drink ahead of time and was very detailed about fasting vs. not, when to take the drink, and of course; not to share any with DH. I think that one nurse was just a dud all around.

Elise is doing very well. She kicked the heartbeat hearin' machine () and my belly measures at 27 weeks instead of 26. Her new favorite thing to do is to p u s h on my belly and it kind of hurts. I think she's really not thrilled with the fact her space is "shrinking" as she grows. The OB also told me what to look out for regarding pre-term labor (I'm not at risk but it's good to know what to look out for in case she decides she can't handle being inside anymore).

I'm very pleased with him and the rest of the nurses.

OK Krista, You asked to see my bump pics when I dropped, I think I've done something... yesterday I woke up and dd bum was near my belly button NOT up under my ribcage as normal... Today was a little higher, but still a lot lower than normal. I did lay my hand under my bra line like you were describing, and though I couldn't spread my fingers as you said you could, I DID HAVE MY WHOLE HAND above the bump!

Last Thursday:

Today 38weeks 4 days:

Woah Shiann!!! I definitely see it! Thanks for the example! I have been wondering for myself if my baby has dropped. It feels heavy between my legs.. the whole bowling ball thing.. but I don't think baby has dropped.

Mylo, nice to hear about your OB update.

Wow, Sina! You're getting so close! I totally know the bowling ball feeling.

Shiann,

I definitely agree with all the mommas thus far - you've definitely dropped! How exciting! I didn't drop with Matthew until he was ready to come out, so it's neat to see the physical difference on someone .

OK Mamas! I am not pregnant yet, but I think we may have enough posts and counter posts tthat there should be a new thread entitled "In Labor or Not?" It could be a sticky thread llike the preggo or not thread! Can;t wait to hear from Steph and Shiann, and TessaRose too! All you guys are great!

Wow, Shiann! Thanks for posting the pictures. That's probably the best example I've seen of someone who has dropped... I'm so jealous (in a good, Christian kind of way ) of your progress! I *feel* like I've dropped, with all the extra pressure down there, but I definitely don't look like that!

I did tons of errands today, and bought all the final things that I want for labor and the baby. So, this kid is officially welcome to come at any time!

Lotus - I noticed you said you didn't drop with Matthew till the very end. Is this pretty common with first time babies? Everything I read says you'll drop 2-4 weeks beforehand with your first, and so I'm freaking out and adding on at least 2 weeks to my pregnancy since I haven't noticeably dropped yet. Anyone else with the same experience as Lotus?

Sina - I can't believe you're almost done, too! How have you been feeling? Any major changes to speak of yet?
