Name that Song
This is the old game, post lyrics, someone guesses what song it is from, people post more lyrics, etc.
I'll start it:
All this time I can't believe I couldn't see
kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
I’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
got to open my eyes to everything

Evanescence ~ Bring Me to Life.
Next song:
Is this the real life-
Is this just fantasy-
Caught in a landslide-
No escape from reality-
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see-
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy-
Because Im easy come,easy go,
A little high,little low,
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me,
To me

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Next Song
An oldie
My guard stood hard when abstract threats...
Too noble to neglect...
Deceived me into thinking I had something to protect...
Good an Bad, I define these terms...
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow...
Ah but I was so much older then...
I'm younger than that now

Bob Dylan, I believe it's called My Back Pages??
this one's well known, but not so much for these lyrics, I'm guessing ...
"She said, 'I'm home on shore leave,'
though in truth we were at sea
so I took her by the looking glass
and forced her to agree
saying, 'You must be the mermaid
who took Neptune for a ride.'
But she smiled at me so sadly
that my anger straightway died"

Whiter Shade Of Pale....Procul Harum
When I sing about you every note seems to be right on key
Oh it all sounds so right to me
When I sing about you.....

Yep.. that was going to be my second guess.
Here's one:
Don't know the reason,
Stayed here all season
With nothing to show but this brand new tattoo.
But it's a real beauty,
A Mexican cutie, how it got here
I haven't a clue.

Re: Name that Song
Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet
What day is it?
And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive

You and Me - Lifehouse
Next
Did he tell you that your heart would soon become a trinket
On his bracelet of broken hearts?
Did he tell you that the morning sun would find you
patching up your shattered pride
and searching for the missing part
Did he tell you that the special love you're saving
will disapper in flames of shame like mine
Did he tell you that he's known as....

They say we're young and we don't know
We won't find out until we grow
Well I don't know if all that's true
'Cause you got me, and baby I got you
