Praised be Jesus Christ! My name is Sister Margaret Mary and I am legally blind. I use assistive technology to help with my spiritual reading. I am looking for the following book in mp3, pdf or txt format for my digital talking book player:
Title: "Divine Intimacy"
Author: Fr. Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D.

Any help trying to locate this book in the above mentioned formats would be greatly appreciated.

Divine Intimacy is a wonderful book . . . unfortunately, I don't know where to find it in mp3.

However, I can direct you to this site:

Our OCDS community produces these brief 2 minute to 5 minute "Meditations from Carmel" in mp3 format and for podcasting. Many of these extracts from the writings of the Carmelite Saints are referenced by Fr. Gabriel in his book.

Thanks so much Dave - What a great resource this is going to be. I am an Aspirant with the OCDS (secular Carmelites), beginning an exciting journey. I want to get to know these Carmelite saints well. This will help a lot. I also decided to get a Kindle. I can read books on it in print as large as I need. Yesterday I found 3 of the 4 books of "Divine Intimacy" available for it. Thanks again for your help. I'm in the midst of a feast! Geraldine

I will pray for your discernment. I too am OCDS ... formation director for the community that puts together the website you've been visiting.

I've been giving a series of talks on "Our Carmelite Promise" ... 3 of 10 or so talks have been completed and are now posted on the website here:

Thanks again, Dave. It was during Advent of last year that I heard the Lord calling me to a holier life. I had once read some of St. John of the Cross, and "The Cloud of Unknowing. I find St. Teresa of Avila someone I can relate to. She doesn't set impossible standards that make one feel inadequate - she is very practical and realistic for a mystic. I believe this is the kind of spirituality I am being led to - thus OCDS. I've attended 4 meetings now; and feel very much at home in that setting. Your prayers are very much appreciated. I guess I'm a little off topic; but I just had to respond to your kindness. Thanks again. Geraldine

This seems like an ocds thread!

I, too, an aspirant for the ocds and will have my second interview in 11/2 weeks...and God willing...will be invested with the scapular in feb. I feel very much at home...and I just want to be a 'lover of god' within the carmelite vocation. Very much so...
