Default Exercise support thread--week of 7/6/2008

Good morning, and a Blessed Sunday to everyone. This is the day the Lord has made, so we can set our goals for the week. My goal is to run 23 miles, including an 8 mile long run, which I plan to do this morning.

Impressive goals, Michael--I hope you meet them! (or exceed them?)

I am traveling tomorrow on business to NY, and plan to walk quite a bit, as our office is about 4 blocks from the hotel we'll be at, and we are walking to a restaurant as a group, so that will be my exercise to kick off the week! Today, I'm heading to the mall, and that is always at least a 3 mile hike! ha My wallet will get a workout, too, I'm afraid.

I plan on walking 12 miles this week...and getting some weights in. I was hoping I could get rid of some of my equipment, but with the community not having a gym, I guess I'll have to hang on to my eliptical at least.

God bless! Shoot for the stars, people!

The move is a good one, and i miss nothing except my own TV at night. Not bad for a huge purging via move.

In the move i gained 12 lbs, of which 4 are gone now...so this week i would like to try and work on the other 8 so i will be where i was before the move.

There is not much to get out and do, except emptying bins slowly and finding new places to store them...That is more mental than anything else.

Hopeing to find my eyebrow tweezers before the unibrow takes over.

simple, and i hope not to boreing guys.

Lana

Wed: Break/1,500 calories
Thu: Run, weights/2,000 calories
Fri: Break/1,200 calories
Sat: Off to Washington on our youth group mission trip!

Good job, Nick! 1 down, 4 to go. Keep it up, buddy.

I ran 3 miles yesterday and today. The workout room in the hotel is way too warm, so it's really hard, but I only have 1 more day of it before heading home.

Washington? DC? How fun - that's quite a trip. You will have a wonderful time in the nation's capital. I love it there.

Actually it's Washington state & it's in the high desert, so it'll be hot. But it'll probably be better than where I'm at now. It's over 100 & the air is full of smoke from all the fires.

Where are you at?

Have you gotten your long run in yet this week?

I did my long run on Sunday; 8 miles. So I'm at 14 so far for the week.

Well yesterday I miscalculate and ended up 300 calories over my goal. But I did get in my golf and weights, plus I also did TKD, so 3 workouts in 1 day.

Hi everyone

I had a great trip in NY...I walked everywhere in NY...and probably went about 5 miles or more...at least! NY is awesome to visit--couldn't live there...too much carbon monoxide, and pollution, great shopping--but not my thang.

Anyways--I didn't get in from my flight until midnight last night...then not until 1am to my home. I think that something needs to be done with these airlines, because I really think that these delays are all about pulling planes out of the air, and still maintaining a heavy flight schedule, so they don't lose money, and it's the customer that suffers.

Have a good one all!

I ran 3 more miles this morning.

Nick, sounds like you're still doing good for the week. That's awesome! I'm proud of you.

Sharon, welcome home. I know what you mean about the airlines. As you know, I travel a lot for work. It can be so frustrating when delays are caused by silly reasons. Sometimes, the delays are justified. Sometimes they aren't.

I think the majority aren't. I truly think they are cutting back planes, and overbooking, because they are greedy. I wish I could name a business out there who operated with true sincere ethics these days, that are not just interested in greed, but I can't.
