Exercise support thread--week of 7/13/2008
Good morning, everyone. A blessed Sunday to you all.
It's that time again: time to set goals. My goals are the same as last week: Run 23 miles, including an 8 mile long run.
Who's next?

I just got back from my 8 mile run. I finished it in 1:12:18. Not bad for an old guy! It's overcast and humid here. I liked the cloud cover. It's makes for a better run.

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 7/13/2008
Thanks Michael...your sentiments helped a lot.
So i have the other 6 to loose this week, and then i will be back at square one...back on my journey.
I am feeling like i can do it, and to stay aware of why this is happening, instead of believing each and every feeling is better for me. Like my own PMS guide/conductor.
You almost have to think of yourself in the third person to do this.
I have mastered not having those conversations outloud...lol
You get really funny looks!

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 7/13/2008
Good afternoon everyone. (morning for some)
I have the same goals as last week too...12 miles walking (like power walk pace) and/or light jogging...My left foot is still mighty stiff, but it's getting better. I just have to stretch more than the average bear.
I went over 2 miles last night on this great nature trail near where we just moved--it's so serene...circles a quiet neighborhood lake...forest to my left, lake to my right...it was heaven. I was going to do it again a moment ago, but it's been raining a lot here lately...bad lightning...think I'll do some weights today, and see how the weather is later.
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Howdy, folks! I got in my 3 mile run this morning, followed by a very day work day. I'll probably be working late tonight. Tomorrow I have to get up at 4 AM, so I can run and get ready before leaving at 6 AM to catch a train into LA.

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 7/13/2008
Going for my nature trail 'power' walk tonight....with dd and my dh...yay, he has off today and tomorrow--maybe he'll pop in here to say a quick hello. Our son is back into football now, so we'll be busy with that....
I will add 2.5 miles today, from this walk...The trail is 2 miles back and forth, and about 1/2 mile to get there....
Have a good one, all.

How is everyone doing this week? I've been keeping up with my 3 miles per day, but it hasn't been easy these past two days. I've had to get up at 4 AM to run, before catching a train into LA.

Hi all,
Man I keep losing track of this thread...
I've done OK this week, no real exercise since I think it was Tuesday But I am motivated to go to the condo's gym now so every evening I'll go for 45 mins and do 30 mins of walking and 15 mins of biking. Sunday will be my rest day.

I know...but it is probably because he starts a new one every Sunday morning. So the old one dies, a lonely death...as we leave it for another newer codo so to speak!
10 of the gained 12 is off...two more to go...

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 7/13/2008
that's great rammy--your weight loss.
I have been busy this week...glad the weekend is here!
I have been keeping up with my walks on most nights. I ended up with 10 miles today, total, for my walks this week...slightly shy of my goal, but it's been so hot here. I went for my power walk today, and it was wow, just tough with the heat. On some days it doesn't seem to bother me, but today, I had a shorter walk.
Foot is still stiffened. I am hoping that in the next 3 months, my foot will be back to normal. It took about that long for the right foot to heal. Whatta pain!
Hope everyone has a blessed week.
