Dont be too hard on them Lily, its only a once in a lifetime event. We will probably never see something like this again in Sydney in our lifetime (im hoping a WYD will come to another capital of Australia though)

Re: Closing Mass
WOW!!!! I just saw the encore airing on EWTN. The Mass was so beautiful! I even thought the procession with the veneration of the Bible with the dancers was dignified for the Mass and brought about a different kind of solemnity. It was a perfect example of the way the Novus Ordo was supposed to be implemented: traditional yet modern at the same time and showing the universality of the Church through the use of Latin and selected appropriate enculturation. ...and the cantors, choir and orchestra were remarkable!

Closing Mass
I personally love this year theme song "receive the power" by Guy sebastian and so happened that he just joined my church worship team not long ago...Awesome!!! The closing Mass was wonderful, although am extremely tried (coz i was scheduled to work at 530am) but am so happy that i was able to serve at WYD...not to mention the Pope special meet up session for the volunteers today...having to see the from such a close distant Pope !!!...although am not a catholic but i was so so so happy to see the Pope..i thks God for giving me an opportunity to be in Sydney to be a witness of all this!!! Moreover i have a non believer volunteer who decide to attend church after she experienced how believers are so loving and caring , the warm she received, etc....Amen, God had open up her heart...!!!!

yeah that made it difficult for us locals. even in brisbane many parishes did not have mass. but it all worked out in the wash.
