Exercise support thread--week of 8/10/2008
Happy Sunday, everyone. Welcome to new week of honoring God by maintaining the Temple of the Holy Spirit. It's time to set our goals for the week.
Now that my feet have healed, I'm back in full routine again. So my goal is to run 23 miles this week, including an 8 mile long run, which I plan to do today.

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 8/10/2008
I just got back from my 8 mile run. It's been 3 weeks since I did a long run, so I was a little out of shape for this. However, I was able to run the whole distance, though a bit slower than usual.
Anyone else working out?

Anyone around this week? I'm keeping up with my running so far. I'm in San Jose, and ran outside this morning. I ran 3 miles in 25:40.

I'm here...working out too...I have been maintaining my walks...and biking. (spinning) I wish I could do more, but my schedule has been a little crazy lately.
Hope everyone is doing good...glad to see your feet are better Michael. I missed last week's thread...what was wrong with your feet?

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 8/10/2008
I have completely fallen apart. I have gained back almost 30 of the 44lbs I had lost. I haven't been eating right & I haven't been exercising. It seems like I've always got an excuse for why. It's gotten so bad that many of my new clothes don't fit anymore because I've gained so much back. I need some support to buckle down & get back on track. I've got pictures for my TKD school in 10 weeks & I DO NOT want to look like this when that time comes.
GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 8/10/2008
Sharon, thank God you're here. I was starting to get very lonely here. My feet were blistered from the week I spent camping in Yosemite. I did some major hikes. I forgot to take my hiking socks on the trip, so the 15 and 16 mile hikes gave me some major blisters. But they're all gone now, and I'm back to normal (Normal for me, that is. )
Nick, welcome back, brother! I've been thinking a lot about you lately. I sensed you needed prayers, and have said a few for you. Obviously you need more than prayer. Would it help to exchange phone numbers, so we can support each other by phone? Feel free to send me a PM.

Oh wow...I know how it can be a struggle. Do you have anything going on in your life that is causing you some additional stress? I know for me, I totally fall off...no make that JUMP off...the wagon of healthy eating and regular exercise. I'm praying that you'll be back into the swing of things in no time!

Hi Michael...oh blisters? Those can be painful too...glad to see you're back at it! I will be going to mass tonight for Assumption, so no exercise today. But, I'm taking tomorrow off, so thinking of doing my workout in the morning! Woohoo! (trying to psyche myself up can you tell?)

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 8/10/2008
Financially i could not afford this, but had to go back on my antidepressants. Believe it or not, they get me off my butt and stop me from zoneing. I found myself almost a week of simply stareing, not eating, or drinking fluids and forcing myself to eat soup at the end of the day.
Did i mention doing nearly zippo. So i am finally on the track again, and wundered how the laundry pile got to almost two feet high without me noticing. Chores a plently, and MUCh walking through this new Apartment complex to do this laundry. It's through two sets of doors, up a floor, and down the hall through another three sets of doors.
LOL...i will call this my 1/4 mile track...lol
I am far from olimpic training, but a start is a start...

Re: Exercise support thread--week of 8/10/2008
The Photographer is a member on this site...it is found through the link below the picture. It is an awsome desktop picture. I asked the person who owns it if i might use it there, as i have found it quite hopeful, and prayerful going through the loss of my teenage son. Some days it was capturing the fear of going ahead, and other days it captured the wonder of what is up ahead. But always i knew God was there...i just had to reach out.

I finished my 23 miles yesterday, so I'm taking today off from running, but not yard work.
Lana, welcome back. I was missing you. I love reading you posts. I'm glad you're up and around again. You're such an inspiration.
