Default Exercise support thread--week of 8/17/2008

Good morning, everyone, and a blessed Sunday to you all. Welcome to the new thread for this week. It's time to set our goals for keeping the Temple of the Holy Spirit healthy. My goals are the same as last week. I plan to run 23 miles this week, including an 8 mile long run, which heading out for in a few minutes.

You wouldn't believe how long I was staring at this thread title thinking 'eh, there isn't 17 months in a year'. You Americans do it the wrong way round (because the right way is the English way of course )

Anyway, as of tomorrow I shall be starting to actually start exercising again, may even use the treadmill which we bought, used for one week and it hasn't been touched since

I think aiming for 3 miles per day walk/running alternating would be a fair target to start with

New week means a new start right??? I need it! I'm going to aim for 2,000 calories every day with Sat being a bit of a free day. Plus exercise Sun, Mon, Tue, Thu.

Here's to a new week and renewed dedication to eating right & exercising.

Hi, Lana. Thanks for sharing that. You know, I've never been a big fan of them, but that was beautiful. It really touched me.

Hi, Clock, welcome to the group. You're right, we Americans have our dates wrong. However, so do Europeans. No one does them right. It should be Year-Month-Day, e.g., 2008-08-16. That way, they always sort correctly.

Anyway, good for you on the plans. What are your goals for working out? Get fit, lose weight, etc. Let us know what we can do to support you.

Well I suppose the main reason should be to loose a bit of weight due to going out every night whilst on holidays = bad for the shape

But I think to start with I just want to get fitter, then worry about working my butt off when I can be bothered with the counting calories and planning meals (It's holiday time, can't be doing with all that malarky )

Thats the plan, however I also planned to get out of bed at 9.25 this morning in time to watch the Jeremy Klye Show, it's now 10.45 and my bed is oh so comfy.
New Plan: before I make my next post I have to stop and get up and =good plan

So far so good this week. Yesterday I ended at 2,080 calories while getting 1 hr of hitting golf balls at the driving range plus 1 hr on the treadmill.

Hey there everyone.
I am hoping to hit 45 miles this week. It's my plan - not sure I'll execute.

Mee too...usually it has the old fogies up there...no offense, but i like more power and strength in a singer like Josh Groban maybe. But looking through their video's on YT, i see that there is 4-5 of the younger men that are a part of the Vocal Band, as apoased to the family as a group.

So that is much stronger, and i enjoyed it better. You seem to show me the truth when i am down, and encouragement when i am Low. Even though i am strugaling with weight combined with sore feet all the time, you seem to always reply with a real strong spirituality that is uplifting.

This song was very simple, lyrical, yet told a blunt truth with a sweet delivery...and boom, i thought of you!

glad you enjoyed it.

Lana
