Because I looked at that link and read what was there. It was what I thought it was going to be and I don't believe it. Same kind of stuff as Y2K hysteria, which I also didn't buy in to. So if you buy in to this stuff, do what you need to do, but recognize that a lot of people are not going to get hot and bothered about it. I recognize that when my end comes, it comes. I try to live my life recognizing it could come any time.

The world wide web the beast? The Web is not evil, what men do with it is evil. Man is the Beast. We have known that since Genesis.
But seriously, I think the beast is material wealth. It is God to many and at least in america has taken the thrown away from Jesus. Partly because of all the miracles that i seemingly does with science, medicine and technology and even higher learning.

David Hasslehoff isn't smart enough to save his own acting career, let alone plot the destruction of the world. The mark of the beast is some type of credit card/credit chip. It says in revelations. No man will be able to buy and sell without it. If you look the average debt per person is $26,000 and if you make the average minimum payment every month it will take 50 years to pay off. This is nothing more than white slavery to large companys like Visa and Mastercard. The government hates cash thats why they got rid of the godl standard. They can keep us in bondage now simply by printing more money and spending more money. So as a society we are constantly borrowing and spending. When we should be saving or not spending. Real money. SO alls the credit companys have to do to give us the mark of the beast is do away with cash and move us all onto credit cards. Than move us from credit cards to some kind of ID chip.

Boy, I thank God that I am not average.... 
but then again, we have always lived within our means. My husband losing a top job due to Union Carbide closing, we are reaping the fruits. I certainly am grateful today that I have a 'cheap' husband who accounts for every penny (not that it was always like this I did my whining, trust me in years past )
The beast will not be and is not a material thing. He is a fallen angel.
