Default Exercise support thread--week of 9/21/2008

Welcome to the new week, and a new thread, everyone. May our Lord bless your efforts this week, and help you attain your goals. Speaking of goal, it's time to set them for the week. Mine are the same as last week. I plan to run 23 miles, including an 8 mile long run.

Maybe. How fast can you type? Fast enough to get a cardio workout?

I just got back from my 8 mile run. It was overcast, and about 60 degrees: perfect for a run. Of course, now I'm all sweaty, so don't hug me.

hehe, I will stay clear. I can type about 40 words a minute, pretty sure anyway.

As soon as my foot gets better, I have some tendinitis, I plan on joining our local gym. I can't wait to get going on that score!

So far I'm on track for the week. I'm in San Diego, and have been doing my morning runs along the marina. It's so beautiful, it's easy to get my morning run in.

I did my last run in San Diego this morning. That is, my last run in San Diego this week. I go home after class today, so I'll be back on the treadmill tomorrow.

Two wicked migrains this past week or so, and 5 days out of 12 spent bed ridden.

Lost 4lbs though, and ankle is far less swollen.

Contrairy to the facts, migrains are NOT healthy!

Lana, you're doing a great job with the weight loss. Keep it up. Everything else will get better in time.

I'm still on track with my running this week. 20 miles down . . . 3 to go.

I figure I should rejoin this group. I have been going to exercise at my health club but some weeks I am better than others. This week I managed to exercise 4 days, and I aim to make it at least two more. I weigh in on Sundays at WW. I have been traveling and not weighing myself and I really have not been that careful so I really don't know what this Sunday shall bring.

Good luck to all of you this week. Still traveling with work Michael? San Diego sounds like a great assignment!

Hey great to have you join us. At WW, they do not want you to weigh yourself though, right? So you are right on target.

Great job on the exercise. Traveling can be so difficult when watching the food you are eating. The selections can be so limiting.

Hey, Fitz, long time no see! It's great to have you back. Yes, I'm still traveling, and it still comes in spurts. I spent 3 days in San Diego this week, and 3 days in Seattle next week. But I'll be home for a while now. My next trip isn't until October 19th, when I head for Dallas.

I finished my week this morning with a 3 mile run, reaching my goal of 23 miles. Tomorrow I take off, and go pick up my new car.

Wow, you run even more than my husband. He travels for computer consulting also, and I retired this past school year and I travel with him sometimes. He was working in Las Vegas for a year, and now he is in St. Louis. H usually spends about a year at his sites, although he has consulted for shorter periods of time. He is always getting ready for a half or full marathon. My kids run with him, but I am a walker and have never been a runner.

Hi Jrabs! Good to see you again. I don't have a scale or I would weigh myself. When I am home I do keep checking but I know it is not good to be fixated on that scale. Due to travel I have not even gone to my WW meetings lately. I am returning this Sunday. I am not going to obsess about it. I am watching what I eat, and I am working out. There is just so much a person can do!
