Nope, I've just contacted a church. I don't know when I'll start. But I'm hoping I'll get to start ASAP.
What's "the inquiry night"?

It's basically the first night, where you get the chance to ask general questions and get an introduction to the RCIA outline (like what's going to be covered when in the program).

Re: Tiber Swim Team of '09
Hi, Hilde.
I'm a cradle Catholic... and the RCIA sponsor of my best friend who was just baptized, confirmed, and received the Holy Eucharist for the first time Easter Vigil 2008.
At the end of yesterday's Mass, our pastor announced that this week is the start of the coming year's RCIA program... which begins in the next few weeks. The date at our parish is not yet set (I don't think). Maybe, it is... maybe it's already set for the parishes in your town.
Anywho.... there's a Web site that lists all the parishes, their addresses, their phone numbers, times for Mass, and if the parish has one... their Web address.
That site was set up for Catholics who were traveling... and so would need to know the address and times of Mass in the city that they were traveling to.
That site is called "Mass Times"
MassTimes.org

P.S.
I just now replied to your post at the thread for Tiber Swim Team '08...
http://forums.catholic.com/showpost....&postcount=548
and then... I searched for and found that you were so kind to go ahead and start a thread for TST '09
and so, I posted at the TST '08 thread a link to THIS TST '09 thread.

Hi Hilde, I am a cradle catholic, an "old" cradle catholic if the truth be known. I have often seen the Tiber Swim Team and didn't know what it referred to so I followed the thread to discover the meaning. I hope your journey is a smooth one. Get excited, get very excited! Over the years I have studied many religions, looked into their belief systems, their prayer services, customs etc. I can state that the Catholic Church is the "only" way to get really close to Jesus.
The Catholic Church is 2,000 years old! That is no joke no shallow rfemark. We developed the books that were used in worship services and are now called the Bible. There are over 60,000 Christian denominations and over 50 versions of the bible. By versions, I don't mean written in different languages, that would actually be many more! The amazing thing is they all started from our original church and our books.
As a Catholic, because of the true presence of Jesus when the priest says "This is my body....." you will actually have an opportunity, offered by no other religion, to actually partake in eating His Body and Drinking His blood as He commanded us to do...! How great is that?
Enjoy the journey. I have added you and all the Tiber swimmers to my personal and my church groups prayer intention list. We will help you swim to the RCC!
Good Luck and God Bless you on your journey!

Yes, I liked it. It was about the trinity. Nothing unexpected, really.(And now we're going to need a shaking head-smiling smiley. )
Thanks
