Default Eucharistic adoration in Louisville, Kentucky

Many parishes here in Louisville, Kentucky only offer Eucharistic adoration at certain times. The type of Eucharistic adoration that I'm talking about is the kind in which the tabernacle is open, and the Host is in the monstrance. There is only one parish that I know of in the entire city that offers perpetual adoration, but that parish is about a 30 minute drive from where I live.

Does anyone know where I can get a parish by parish schedule of when Eucharistic adoration is offered here in Louisville? I don't want to have to go all the way downtown for adoration if I don't have to. I'd rather stay here in the south end of town if it's possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Why don't you call the diocese? I know our diocese has a listing of parishes offering exposition and adoration and puts it on their website. Many parishes offer it at different times during the week or monthly as perpetual adoration is usually rare and there have to be strict conditions that have to be in place and met to have it perpetual. I know my parish has it once a week on a Thursday afternoon into the evening. A neighboring parish has it on First Fridays and then at another day has nocturnal adoration.

the diocesan website should have a parish directory, which either links parish websites, or lists times for Mass, confession and adoration.

masstimes.org also lists parishes that offer adoration before the exposed Blessed Sacrament, but bear in mind that website is only updated if the parishes inform them of changes.

The diocesan website was not helpful, because it didn't give me any schedules, and neither did the links provided there. However, I did go to Masstimes.org, and I think I found what I'm looking for. St. Lawrence parish, which isn't far from me, is supposed to offer adoration every Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM, and they also have a Saturday evening Mass at 5 PM. Their offices are closed though, so I couldn't confirm those times.

Thanks for suggesting Masstimes!

Here's another helpful website: http://www.therealpresence.org/chap_fr.htm . Click on your state, then the list is alphabetical by city within your state. I have been to St. Martin of Tours, a beautiful church that has Perpetual Adoration (at least it did a few years ago).

Hi, PhilotheaZ,
Yes, St. Martin of Tours still has Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.

Thanks so much! I just favorited that site.

Yesterday, I was finally able to get to St. Martin of Tours for adoration, and what an experience it was!
