Default Blade and Blood Loves Quotes

"To die for a religion is easier than to live it absolutely." ~Jorge Luis Borges, Labyrinthes, 1962

"On the sixth day God created man. On the seventh day, man returned the favor." ~Author Unknown

I just wanted to share. I love quotes and encourage you all to really contemplate them.

Obviously, I'm a sucker for good and humorous quotes... it shows on my signature.

If you have any thoughts on these quotes or quotes that you've found, I'd love to see them.

"I have loved justice and hated iniquity; therefore I die in exile."
-- Pope Gregory VII

"God is not only true, but Truth Itself."
-- Pope Leo XIII

“Men are like wine - some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age.”
-- Pope John XXIII

Here are a few of mine-- all Popes. I'm not counting Bible verses I like. My favourite non-scriptural quote is Pope Gregory's one at the top.

My personal favorite is by Mark Twain.

ON the Sixth day, God created man and rested. Then he created woman and no one has rested since.

"You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world."
-- Divine Mercy Chaplet

The above quote is awesome, too. It conveys a lot of meaning to me, especially when prayed from the heart.

My favorite is the black holes one... But I'm sort of a math nerd

Here's my favorite joke though... Only because I know a Dominican priest. I laughed for like 10 minutes when I read this the first time. (Easily amused I guess)

-------------------------------

A Franciscan and Jesuit were debating which order was the greatest. So, they decided to ask for a sign from God. This is what they received falling down from heaven:

My sons,

Please stop bickering about such trivial matters,

Sincerely,
God, O.P.

From the great Satchel Paige:

It's not what you don't know that will hurt you, it's what you know that just ain't so.
