Default Exercise Support Thread Week of 11/16/2008

Howdy, everyone! It's time to start a new week, and, therefore, time to set new goals. I was hoping to do a 9 mile long run today, but the high winds that started Wednesday are still blowing. I missed my long run last Sunday, and this is getting really frustrating. I have a 15K coming up on December 7th, and I need to get ready for it. So, at the moment, I plan to run 3 miles per day on the treadmill, today through Friday. So, 18 miles total.

I'll be leaving later today for Salem, OR, and will be there through Thursday, so 4 days will be running there. Stay tuned.

My week has started well so far. I got my bike class in this morning. My week is gonna be very different than normal, so trying to figure out where to fit in exercise. It looks like bike class 3 times this week, tkd twice, jiu jitsu once, and hopefully some weights work in there somewhere.

I'm doing OK this week so far. I ran on the treadmill here at the hotel this morning.

Nick, how are you doing?

Well I'm getting all of my workouts in, but I'm also eating EVERYTHING! So despite working out regularly, I'm gaining weight. I've gained back 40 of the 44 I had lost over the past year & a half.

Not good...

I finished my week having reached my goal of 18 miles run.

Nick, I struggle with rating, as well. We need to stick together, my friend, so we can support each other better.

(We also need to track down all the people who have left this group)

It's pretty ugly for me brother. I'm supposed to run a 5K on Thanksgiving. When I signed up I was able to run about 1/2 - 2/3. Now I'm not even sure I can make it a mile.

Yeah, this thread's been pretty dead for like a month now.

I'm going to send PMs to all our missing members, and invite them to come back. You and I need more support. I think we both did better when this thread was more active.

LOL Hello. I'm a slug, what can I say. I'm saddened to admit that I have done nothing all week. I mean, I have been walking in the mall...does that count? lol And to top it off, I have people at work to go down to the gym with, and I told them no. Ugh. I just have not been very motivated. I think I'm anxious about my skin surgery coming up...yeah, that sounds like a good excuse.

The stupid thing is running (which I was getting back into--yay--foot is healed) takes AWAY stress...but, my brain is having a hard time getting motivated again. My body is willing, my brain is like...tomorrow...tomorrow. My husband is calling me 'Annie.' (you know from the musical...nevermind)

Please help me get out of this slump. I was so regular here, and want to get back into exercising without fail every week...like I used to.
