Default Circle the Wagons! Mudgies, Junkies, Trogs, and Nods!

I happened to follow a link which brought me back to our roots this afternoon. See:

http://forums.catholic.com/newreply....eply&p=4452100

We have far departed from our roots. Mudies are stagnant. Junkies are stagnant. Noids are stagnant. Trogs are dead.

Brutal? Simple. Where are you my brothers and sisters? What has happened? I await your answer.

I'm sure that I fall into one of your four categories, but remind us again what each one means.

I'm still a mudge! <grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..! > See!

I refuse to be a Junky, though I was born in Jun(e).

I am a Noid, and annoyed, at being a Noid stranded, still, on that stupid island awaiting the inevitable attack from THEM! Where the fnerg is Cap'tn Pat!? Har.....!

..I hate THEM.

Are Trogs really dead? I was under the impression that Trogs couldn't actually be killed, so, uh, do you mean some form of the word "dead" that I'm unaware of?

And if they (not to be confused with "THEY" of "THEM" fame) are dead, for real, then..

..do all Trogs go to heaven?

(( ..and your link above seems to bring up an editing window for post input, so you might want to look into that little "situation", as the "Church Lady" might say, just before saying "Saaaaaaaaaaaatan". ))

I must admit I've not renewed my membership as a card-carrying Trog or Noid ... life's kinda caught up with me a bit this year!

Drat! I had links back to the start of all four groups during the mapping of the territories and the lobbing of the fruitcakes.

OK. From what I remember. All four groups had their origin in the Dead Horse Club. Then there was a thread in which the Curmudgeons and the Junkies were together but had an amicable falling out and split into two groups.

The Curmudgeons (Mudgies) lived in a shack, left pistachio shells on the floor, brewed coffee in a cauldron and, at that time, reveled in receipes for road kill. Their leader was Scottus Grumpus of the smelly cigar.

The Junkies lived in a properly decorated tree house, ate fruitcake, drank tea, and had an affinity for sparkly things.

The Troglodytes (Trogs) started when I called a politically correct young woman "dear" in another thread and you would have thought I committed a mortal sin. So the Trogs were about chivalry and Monty Python.

The Noids began when during a Trog Quest, someone donned a tin-foil helmet and discovered THEY were out there.

The Trogs are basically - well, not dead yet, they might be feeling better. They are certainly inactive. We tried to roleplay but found that it really doesn't work out too well when folks are going through rough times at home or, like Lady Lily, are up to their eyeballs in law books.

Cher Aimee, you know you are welcome among the Mudgies, Junkies, and Trogs. I don't think you have met THEM so I don't think you are a Noid.

I don't know what happened to my links but when I posted last night I had links to all four original clubhouses. I'll try later on tonight to go back and see if I can get some good links.

Mudgies, Junkies, Trogs, and Noids.............

We've had too much fun over the years. Let's not let it die.

As far as I can tell, these are the original threads.

I'm on a roll, y'all. I happened to come across a reference which I followed back to 2005 and re-read the Mudgie, Trog, and Junkie threads...............and I laughed and laughed. (I mean, really........I had to stop because I was at work and people were looking at me like I was crazy).

So many old friends missing............Roy, NCJohn, savone, Siena, Scott LaFrance...................Marie, Annunciata, Sho and........Edwin.

I'm still in contact with some of them via email. But I think it is high time for a reunion. And I don't mean the individual threads because we all ulitmately came from the one.

So, call me Cats. Or,.. not,.. at your discretion, mon Capitaine.
