The Official Days of Our Lives Thread (This can be anything we want it to be).
I'll start this thread with the couple that started me watching Days Of Our Lives more years ago then I can actually remember:
DOUG AND JULIE WILLIAMS

Oh yes. It's funny how you can stop for awhile, and then, once you go back, it doesn't take you too long to pick up where you left off. Here is my favorite couple:
Jack and Jennifer (as played by Missy and Matt)

To go along with my first choice, I have to choose Bo and Hope Brady.

I agree. I also love John Black DiMera and Dr. Marlena Evans. I am soooo sad that they are leaving. Are the writers trying to kill the show?
I also would love to see Caroline and Victor finally pair up. I'd rather see Victor with her than with Kate. Kate should probably hook up with Stefano. They deserve each other.

I didn't know John and Marlena were leaving the show. I sure hope it dosn't mean the end. I'm just starting to get back into it.
As for Stephano, it seems to me that he's definitely mellowing. I do like him with Kate too. But does everything that's been happening mean that the Dimera's are going legitimate at last?
BTW, if you could make it happen, what character/characters from other soaps do you think would make a good crossover to Days of Our Lives? My choices would be Quinton and Nola Chamberlain from Guiding Light. First of all, Nola's family, the Reardons, could easily be related to the Brady's without any question. I also think that she could be a good friend to Sami, especially at this point in her life.
But, I also think there could easily be a connection between Quinton and Tony as well. Like Tony, Quinton was born to an unwed mother, and discovered that his father was the wealthy Henry Chamberlain, who he had a grudge against for years. I think he and Tony may have met each other while they went to College together at some point and became friends. However, unlike Tony, however, he grew to respect and admire his Dad. Sorry for going on the way I have, but I do think it could be interesting if they met each other again in Salem.

Yeah, Quinton and Nola would be a good match. Of course, we could make Alan a Kiriakis (although this would mean two Phillips in the family). Philip and Beth remind me of the old Philip and Chloe. Of course, Reva could be Marlena's sister.
I think Erica Kane and Kate Roberts would be a vicious catfight in the making. Luke and Laura would also probably be good friends with Bo and Hope.
I would love to see a strong rivalry develop between Y & R's Victor and our Victor. That would be fun.
By the way, I do feel sorry for Lucas. I think deep down he's still in love with Sami and she with him. Why they moved so quickly in pairing him with Chloe is beyond me. If she and Dr. Daniel could get past the physical, they could make a nice couple. He seems capable of being somewhat human, as evidenced by his brief relationship with Chelsea. Or, Chloe just needs to back to Philip. She and the new Brady just don't click.

Great thoughts!!! BTW, I also think that Sami and Lucas belong together. Also, I happen to think that Quinton and Nola would make great friends with three couples in particular, Bo and Hope, Steve and Kayla (although Quinton might have a problem with Steve at first because he'll remind him of Silas Crocker and also Doug and Julie as well. Forgive me, I've always been somewhat of a Quint and Nola fan over the years. But the more I watch Days, the more I think they'd fit in there better than on Guiding Light.

That is so true. Are Quinton and Nola back on Guiding Light? By the way, I just though of something Days needs some new doctors. Maybe Rick Bauer could come in and become the new Chief of Staff. Kayla is great, but, I think Rick would do a great job. He might actually be good for either Chloe or Chelsea.
Melanie needs to take a hike.

No, I really wish they would bring them back. I haven't even been watching much of Guiding Light recently because the storyline isn't what it could be. I only watch it every once in a while. I've even suggested to someone else I e-mail that we should do something to bring them back. But the way they did it the last time, I'm a little afraid of what they would do with them.
But, you are right about the number of doctors on Days lately. It's like there's only a handful who run the entire hospital. Rick Bauer would be a good addition indeed. I can't believe that there's only a small handful of doctors who run the entire hospital.

At least for insurance purposes, the PHP wouldn't be too bad since Salemites only have five to choose. Rick would fit in rather well in Salem.
One thing about Salem though. Their diocese seems to be mighty quick about fixing annulments, as Sami and Lucas experienced.

LOL, ROFL I've noted that on quite a few occasions that Salem's diocese is quite quick about fixing annulments, especially when it comes to the Dimera family, for some odd reason.
BTW, couldn't you imagine Nola and Sami plotting together? Wouldn't that be an interesting scenario to consider? They'd be plotting together all the time to learn the secrets of the Dimera house.

That would be a hoot. Of course, that would mean that Quinton and Lucas would have to be forever bailing them out.
I would love to know who the Bishop overseeing Salem is. At least the Reardons and the Brady's are Catholic, as are the DiMera's. I believe that the Kiriakis clan are Greek Orthodox. I am surprised that Stephano hasn't had Johnny baptized yet, or Allie (on Sami's part) for that matter.
Something tells me, though, that both twins are Lucas'. Rolf probably got the DNA results switched, as is wont to happen at Salem.
It is interesting, though, that every wedding and funeral happens to occur at St. Luke's.

You're so right about Quinton and Lucas bailing Nola and Sami out. But Quinton can easily afford it. And he and Lucas would become better friends as a result.
As for the twins, I've thought the same thing about the DNA tests being switched. I'm sure that's what's going to end up happening in the long run. It may even be the case for the baby Sami is carrying now for that matter. Also, you're so right about the baby's being baptized. Then again, maybe they did it and we just didn't see it.
Also, I don't think that we're through with Nicole yet eather. Sami may be her next target for all we know.
Anyway, I'm signing off for tonight. I've been enjoying our conversation. We can talk again tomorrow.

Personally, I've always loved any of the Brady's. They've always been my favorite family. But my own original Days of Our Lives couple has always been Doug and Julie Williams.
