My current best times (I've had several computers, so the times change with the computers):
Beginner 16 seconds
Intermediate 77 seconds
Expert 226 seconds

I don't remember exactly, but I think they were all lower on my last computer. I think my lowest beginner score was about 11 or 12 seconds.

FYI,

Here is the cheater code for Minesweeper

XYZZY Enter Shift

You will see a white dot in the upper left of your desktop when the cursor is over a safe spot.

Have fun and amaze your friends with your incredible Minesweeper skill.

Red face Re: what're your best times of windows minesweeper game?

My best scores are 1 second for all levels.... I cheated . I modified the ".ini" files and manually put the scores in. That was back in Windows 3.11... I haven't played for a while...

no way, 5 sec. What? were all the mines clustered in one spot? That's not skill, that's luck.

When I played the beginner level a lot, I was surprised to finish in 16 seconds and I did it over and over, with no cheater code. It's a waste of time, isn't it?

Now, I'm into Pyramid Solitaire (peoplepc) and Twister (when I need a headache).

I got 5 or 6 on beginner.

I got a 115 on expert. I am working on a new technique though where I do not click on the bombs.

Rick, have you played Addiction Solitaire? I find myself going between Pyramid and Addiction. I love both games.
