Default Exercise Support Thread Week of 2/15/2009

Howdy, folks. It's time to start a whole new week! That's means it's also time to set some goals for the week. My goal is to run 21 miles, including a 9 mile long run. No running today. The wife and I are attending a Marriage Enrichment retreat all weekend, and we need to be back at church at 7:30 this morning to continue the retreat.

Hi Michael,

I'll be praying for you and your wife.

My goal this week is to not be so distracted by non essentials and to try new challenges.

Michael, and others here, please pray for me. For all of the plans and goals i attempt, i can not seem to get out from under that storm cloud that follows me from room to room, and anywhere else i go.

I desperately need to see the doctors, to start innital plans on the bladder operation, and restore medication levels needed to not revert to being a cloistered hermit, afraid to dwell outside.

I could talk an eskimo into buying a freezer right now if you compare that to how i outwit myself out of going outside.

scared, again, these past few days...of life.

Lana

I had a bunch of gym time this morning. 7.35miles and 20 min weights. I really needed too start off the day with a brisk workout. Work is very busy these days and stressful.

Michael, Beautiful and Rammy - success to everyone this week!

I was hoping to do my long run this morning, but we're under heavy rains today, lingering into tomorrow. So I ran 3 miles on the treadmill.

Thanks for the prayer for the Marriage Enrichment retreat. It was a wonderful retreat. My wife is truly my best friend, and this weekend brought us closer together. We saw other couples there who were headed for divorce, and this weekend rekindled their marriages. The Holy Spirit worked wonders with them.

Lana, I will be praying for you. May God strengthen your mind, heart and soul.

Well, I should be able to get my long run in tomorrow morning, as the rain is supposed to clear out this evening. At the moment, I'm at 6 miles for the week.

I am still here everyone.

I bought a big ball and a new workout dvd...for strengthening my core, and changing up the pace. I looooove this workout!! I highly recommend doing this big ball workout...it's like pilates...and it has a 1 hour segment, broken up into 20 minute intervals...one for abs. legs, and arms...it has one of those stretchy ribbons...anyone ever do their workouts for their core, using one of these big balls?

I have been doing power walking 2x per week...jogging 2x per week...and now I'm going to throw this into the mix 3x per week. Tonight's an 'off' night, because hubby and I are celebrating Valentine's day this evening.

Have a great week everyone...!

I just got back from my long run. Yesterday's storm moved out over night, and today there's not a cloud in the sky. So, that adds 9 miles to my week, putting my at 15 miles so far.

Sharon, just so you know, today isn't Valentine's day. Tell your DH I said Hi.

..............But clever folks celebrate Valentine's day early or late because then the prices are normal

Battling to get on track again after the trip home, but plan to resume my exercise programme tomorrow morning and hope for a trip to the swimming pool this weekend. Tried to swim at home last weekend, but the pool where we were staying was icy and someone had to look after the baby while her parents swam
