Your wish is hereby granted. However, you suddenly discover that you have all kinds of winter items you still need to put away and it takes you the entire season to finish the job.
I wish my brother's attitude would change for the better.

Wish granted. Your cold leaves and takes your sanity with it
I wish I didn't have all this homework to do!

Hi Gertie
Granted, but as a result, you are kicked out of school and you are not able to graduate.
I wish I could travel back in time and change at least one aspect of what went wrong the first time.

Wish granted, but the one thing you change makes everything else a hundred times worse.
I wish I were more focused on doing my homework.

Granted, you do in fact begin to focus more and more on your homework. However, your family life is very badly affected as a result. You become so interested in your homework that your family dosn't want to have anything to do with you. Your kids are trying to keep the household together while your husband joins the Army and is hardly at home at all once he is deployed to Iraq and dosn't even bother to tell you about it. As a result, you never see him again.
I wish I would find the ideal home which I don't have to even pay any of the taxes.

Granted, it becomes the storm of the century. You can't even get out of your house. Also, all the stores are closed down for lack of customers. The Mail Man even fails to arrive at your home and all your bills are payed very, very late, affecting your credit rating.
I actually do wish I could become a Sister and join a Monastery.

SNOW DAY!!!!!! That TOTALLY works for me, thanks
Wish granted! -- check out www.walburga.org, not that I'm biased or anything (it was once "my" community). And I just can't make a joke out of that wish!
I wish I weighed 60 lbs less than I do!

Thanks for the link. I did check them out but I'm not in the age bracket. Why did you say it use to be your community? I may have to check out the Benedictine Order that's closest to me. Maybe I should make it one of my resolutions.
Your wish is granted, however, you weigh so little that your are nearly skin and bones and your health is affected.
I wish I could figure out exactly why God has me where I am.

I was a postulant and a novice there (just over two years) about 20 years ago. ( good heavens, I'm getting old!!!)
Wish granted, but because you weren't ready to know why, you completely freak out, and God has you in a mental hospital until you "recover" from the shock.
I wish I were an artist.

Granted, but you are a starving artist and none of your artwork becomes valuable until after you've passed away. Thus, your family and friends rake in the cash while they rake the grass around your grave stone.
I wish I was a person who never grew any older.
Also, I'm logging off for tonight. I'll have some more fun with you ladies tomorrow.
Kathy
