The Official "I've Been Vacationing From Posting" Discussion
It occured to me that it would be kind of fun, especially since Spring and Summer will soon be approaching, that it would be kind of fun to have a Discussion Thread about why we've been away from CAF for any length of time. You certainly don't have to post here if you don't want to. I just thought it would be fun, especially if anyone has been away on vacation.
Anyway, I'll get things started because I didn't post anything yesterday. In my particular case, my family and I were celebrating my sister MaryAnne's birthday. First, we went to Quaker Steak and Lub for dinner, then we went over her place to give her our presents and for some cake. A good time was definitely had by all.

Re: The Official "I've Been Vacationing From Posting" Discussion
Hi Kathy!
I was away for some time due to job that lasted 5 hours during which I realized employer's dreams & mine were not the same. Then there was my brother visiting from PA & dad's 85th b'day. Then there was that facebook thread after my daughter insisted I needed to join.

Hi John -- How have you been lately? I've been on Facebook a few times myself. But I think I like it here just a bit better. It's alot less effort. Anyway, how's your brother doing? Where's he from in Pennsylvania?

Golly, gee, gosh. I feel like this is like Stay-Awayers Anonymous.
ME: Hi, my name is Cindi and I'm a "Stay-Awayer."
ALL: "Hi Cindi"
ME: I've been 'away' for a long time and have been trying to be good and come back more often. But....... you know how it is........ Sometimes things just sorta press down and make it hard to come back again every day like I used to.
ALL: That's OK, Cindi. We love and support you. This is your first step to becoming a Recovering Stay-Awayer. You're on the right path by posting tonite.

Re: The Official "I've Been Vacationing From Posting" Discussion
Hi Cindi That's not it at all. I just thought it would be kind of fun if we had a place where we could post eather if we've gone on vacation or been away and wanted to share what we've been up to recently. It surely is nice to see you here. It's always neat to hear from you. BTW, how are things with your family, especially your brother?
Also, I know there are times when I don't log on for one reason on another. Today was almost one of those days for me. But I decided to log on anyway. Since it's the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day, it was the day for Pittsburgh's Irish Parade. Although my family and I didn't go to the Parade, we did go to this cute little place to celebrate called the Get Away. They have this great Irish band called Corn Beef and Curry and we went there to hear them play and celebrate St. Patrick's Day a little early. They're called Corn Beef and Curry because one of the members of the band is Indian. We all enjoyed ourselves.
Kathy
