Default What Bible do Presbyterians Use?

Hi Everyone,

My new sister-in-law comes from a Presbyterian background. I would like to give her a Bible.
What Bible would a Presbyterian use?

Thanking everyone for your help.

Jean

It might depend on which type of Presbyterian she is:

Presbyterian Church USA: http://www.pcusa.org/101/101-bible.htm

You might want to find out which church she attends and give them a call. Looking online, they seem ok with most translations, but I'd still call.

I would have had no idea, but I actually went to a church dinner at a Presbyterian church last week, and the dining area was in what is apparently the area they use for Bible studies & youth group meetings.
The bookcase was full of Bibles, several translations, but the most of them were RSV, NRSV, and New International.

You can always ask her what translation she prefers, and get her one.
