Do you support international missions?
I grew up in a house with mission magazines, we were involved as kids with Holy Childhood - and my husband and I served three years as Catholic lay missionaries a long time ago - so I wonder if my focus on the needs of the international Church is just greater because of this experience - or if others here at CAF also support financially the missionary efforts of the Church - and if you do, do you do as much for the missions as you do for your parish?
Does anyone tithe?

Re: Do you support international missions?
first off hopefully eveyone tithes to the best of their ability.
now since a tithe will be 10%gross for most people that would mean they'd have to give more to missions to support them more. seems so simple i almost feel i should delete it. personally i dont support them, but as a full time student and parent im a bit constrained in that way so i try to give time for now.
however there are lots of good ways a person can give, missions, crisis pregnancy centers, soup kitchens, etc... that said i do want to do more or missions when i can. i grew up with it and know my parents have several they sponsor and donate time too. odds are its more common than we think you just dont hear about it much, kinda an unsung hero deal.

Re: Do you support international missions?
I think many of us become involved with local needs, parish and as you say other very worthy causes - certainly can't deny just how important all of these are hard to juggle all this sometimes isn't it!
