I was just wondering what's up with the weather lately?
I live in/around Tampa area, and every day around now -- late afternoon--it looks like it's going to rain...then around dinner time, it's pouring...lights flickering...ugh, is hurricane season close? I work on the bay, and I'm looking out of my window now, and the water is moving fast...always seems to start raining when I'm driving home! ![]() Anyways, just checking in.

I don't live in Florida. I grew up in Indianapolis and we use to vacation down in Sarasota and Fort Myers. Once we went over to Tampa and went to Bush Gardens though. Beautiful area's, but you can keep the humidity!

I know! The humidity is ridiculous. It's 80 degrees at 8am in the morning!
But, I can't complain...we had some seriously cold weather...frost and ice even, back in Jan/Feb. It was a welcome change. You know I have never been to Busch Gardens...was it fun?

It was, but this was when I was a kid. Not sure if I would think so now. I remember they had this giant pirate ship that swung back and forth with you in it. It kept going back in forth until it gained enough momentum to go a full circle. I loved it as a kid. Not sure I could do it now.

I live in Florida. It's not raining that much here in Miami, but, boy, is it hot and humid and sweaty!

Oh yes, Miami must be brutal! My sister lives in Jupiter, and it gets that same way there...I lived in Orlando for a time, and there is NO breeze there. Tampa at least has a little breeze...but, it's too hot, too soon! How do you like Miami...did they go through a housing crisis there also? I know in Tampa they did! We moved back to Florida in 07...we lived up north for 10 years. And supposedly the stat is 1 out of every 5 homes is under foreclosure? I was wondering if Miami and Boca Raton were hit.

I lived in Tampa when I was little. The only thing I remember about Busch Gardens is getting lost. Now I live in the Panhandle. It's hot here, but not as bad a South Florida.
To answer your question, hurricane season officially begins June 1. |

lol--I think you sound like my husband...he really likes it here, I don't, I'm afraid. Don't hate it, but don't feel like this is home to me.
I do like where we live, the nature trails, and lakes...takes my mind off the transient feeling of it all.
