Yep, there is a little bit of those characters in us here at CAF. 
The author and illustrator of those characters has been evolving them over the years. Our irrepressible co-member Kaninchen has a link in her signature to Mike Reed's original list, which is even larger than the 15 types he identified in the OP's link.
