Default New to this group

Hello all. I have been a member of the Catholic Answer forums, but never new about this group, I accidently found you by googling catholic weight loss forums and you came up. I hope you don't mind me joining. I am not sure how to get here from the home page of catholic answers, but I am sure I will figure it out or someone will direct me. I am at work now, so I may have to stop and post if a customer walks in, which one just did. I will post more later. God bless.

Welcome to the group. If you haven't figured it out yet, all you do to get here is click on groups at the top of the page.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. It's such a blessing to be able to share the burden of being overweight with people of the same faith. CahtolicChick you and I have the same signature except mine is in French and I am not smart enough to put a picture with it.
Have a blessed evening.

Welcome jcjennie! I am also new to this group, I consider it a blessing to even have found it. Unfortunately I am not new to being overweight, but with the intercession of Our Lady and God's Grace I hope to acheive a healthy weight. Have a blessed day.

Hello everyone. So far this week my eating has been ok, could be better, could be worse I guess. The weekends are really hubby and I's major problem. Like St. Paul, I do not do the things I should and I do the things I should not(not an exact quote, but you get the idea) so I am asking St. Paul to intercede for me and to help me WANT and then to DO the things I should when it comes to my eating. Have a blessed day.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I feel SO blessed to have found this group...I have been visiting CAF for a few months and finally joined. Then I stumbled across this group!

I am an at home mom who is definately struggling with my weight gain over the past 10 years. I had an eating disorder when I was younger and thankfully have broken away from that. Unfortunately I am now in a bit of a pickle. I have always floated around the "overweight" area of the BMI charts, but after I had my son I was 5 foot tall and 189 pounds...not as bad off as I could be, but certainly not healthy. I have been watching my intake and trying to walk daily and am now down to 171

I do need help in getting back to a healthy weight and I look forward to visiting with you all

Shannon

Talking Re: New to this group

Thought I would just pop in and say I just joined this group. I posted a small bit on the wall, but then I found this. Not really sure where I should post.

Anyway, I am looking forward to sharing the struggle of weight loss and excersize with other members.

God Bless,
Booksandmusic

Hey, gang, I posted on one of Catholic Chick's other threads ( I think you call them) a website that is a Catholic Based Spritiual Growth Program. It teaches you the "Rock Facts" of our faith and also works with you on eating, so there is a "Side effect" of weight loss. I have experienced 40 pounds of side effect with this group. I am taking them off slowly, but I am keeping off what I have lost.

www.lightweigh.com

I am not with the organization. I am someone who stumbled on the program February 2008 and that September discovered that I had to take over the group or watch it dissapear. If you have questions about the group in general I would be happy to answer them. If you have specific questions about the program, e-mail them. they can direct you to a group in your area or help you to start one. It's easy and little work involved by you.

Blessings
PL
