Firehawk, Welcome! In addition to the resources Dawn listed, I recommend "Epicenter 2.0" by Joel Rosenberg. This guy used to be a campaign manager for Benjamin Netanyahu and either personally knows or has interviewed almost all the major players in the Middle East. If you want to understand what's happening there from a biblical perspective, I can't recommend anything else any higher.
WARNING: he believes in a pre-Trib rapture; however, he doesn't start talking about that until the very last chapter. He's also written a series of action novels based on events in the Middle East -- that's actually how he got is start as a writer. Interesting thing: the events in his novels have a way of actually occurring, sometimes before the novel is actually published. His last novel had a set of 5 nuclear missiles from North Korea launched off merchant ships just off the coast of America.
Hmmm....

Re: End Times Speculation Part V
Thanks everyone for all the warm welcomes and the abundance of information. I find it all very interesting. And I completely agree with you Dawn. Not so long ago I use to never say the Rosary, but now I say it almost every night. It brings a lot of peace and certainly helps me through any troubles. I'm excited to get to share my ideals with all of you and to learn so much from all the posts.

Chris, will you please elaborate on what you said about the EU and people claiming to be the Christ?
Thanks a bunch
The EU is the resurrected Roman Empire. The EU Presidency is a life time appointment, similar to a secular Papacy.
The number of non-Christian cults centered around somebody claiming to be the Christ seem to be increasing.

Thanks for the answer.

Possible, but doubtful. Those signs usually refer to things like comets, meteors, UFOs, etc.

We feel it too.
When you have nothing else to do, you might want to peruse through those other threads. Each of us have different "gifts" and angles on what we bring to the table to discuss. You can find links to the others on page 1 of this thread.
I would like to point out to you Mark Mallett, if you do not know about him already. He is an authentic Mystic (I believe) who is being given details. You might want to read through his blog:
http://www.markmallett.com/blog/?cat=2
I also believe in Garabandal, and Joey Lomangino (take time to watch his story as he explained on EWTN to Mother Angelica)-scroll about halfway down the page. Click on Video to watch on your computer. There's also MP3:
http://www.garabandal.us/joey.html
Personally, I believe Medjugorje is a continuation of Garabandal. The Church has not condemned either one.
I also believe it is the end of an Era, not the end of the world. The end of a century/or period that Satan was granted to tempt the world (Pope Leo XIII). You can search CAF for posts.
Another name for this is the "Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
God loves us, and is going to break the spell we are under. By our Free Will.

If I did not love Jesus, this bit of "coincidence" (I do NOT believe in coincidences) would scare me.
Amazingly, I feel as though I am just at a place where I am accepting that what will happen, will happen. I just pray that I can drag many souls to Christ before my number is up.

If you pray at least 3 Rosaries a week (okay, now it's 4 with the Luminous Mysteries), consider joining the Archconfraternity. It is not binding under sin (If you don't comply-it's not a serious sin). You benefit from everyone else's Rosaries prayed. There are other benefits. It is free:
http://www.rosary-center.org/nroscon.htm
Read through the website. I think you receive a Plenary Indulgence (usual customary norms) the day you're enrolled. Yeah...here it is. Check this out:
http://www.rosary-center.org/nconobl.htm#ben
Also: Those who pray the Rosary regularly would do well to be enrolled in the Confraternity to gain extra spiritual benefits for each Rosary they pray.
Cool, huh?
+Peace Be With You.

And just to keep the pecularities going on this even if there might not be any...haha. I read from a Daily Catholic Bible. It lays out readings for you per day so that by the end of the year you have read the whole bible. You all know how big the bible is and how much is there. Well, you guessed it...Yesterday and Today's readings just happen to fall on what Muzhik mentions above...the book of Esther...what are the odds of that? 311 to 1?...hehe
